Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի ներկայացուցիչը, РИА Новости-ին մեկնաբանելով Հունգարիայի համար ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից ռուսաստանյան նավթի մատակարարումների բացառումը, հայտարարել է, որ ԵՄ-ն նույնպես բացառություն է արել Բուդապեշտի համար։
«Իր պատժամիջոցային փաթեթների շրջանակում Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովը 2022 թվականին արգելել է ռուսաստանյան նավթի ներմուծումը՝ բացառությամբ Հունգարիայի և Սլովակիայի, որոնց համար գործում են ԵՄ ընդհանուր արգելքի բացառություններ։ Այս բացառությունների նպատակն է ապահովել մատակարարումների անվտանգությունը այդ անդամ պետությունների համար։ Այսպիսով, ներկայումս նրանք կարող են ռուսաստանյան հում նավթ ներմուծել», — հայտնել է գործակալության զրուցակիցը։
Հունգարիայի վարչապետ Վիկտոր Օրբանը շաբաթ օրը հայտարարել է, որ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի հետ բանակցությունների արդյունքում Ռուսաստանից Հունգարիա էներգակիրների մատակարարումները «Թուրքական հոսք» և «Դրուժբա» խողովակաշարերով ամբողջությամբ կազատվեն ԱՄՆ պատժամիջոցներից։ Նա հավելել է, որ սա ընդհանուր, անժամկետ բացառություն է։
Ավելի ուշ Օրբանի հայտարարությունը հերքել են Սպիտակ տանը՝ պարզաբանելով, որ բացառությունը գործում է մեկ տարի, և որ Հունգարիան՝ ԱՄՆ-ի հետ պայմանավորվածությունների համաձայն, պարտավորվել է դիվերսիֆիկացնել էներգակիրների մատակարարումները և գնել ամերիկյան հեղուկացված բնական գազ՝ պայմանագրերով, որոնց արժեքը գնահատվում է մոտ 600 միլիոն դոլար։
Իտալիայի նախկին վարչապետ և ԵԿԲ-ի նախկին ղեկավար Մարիո Դրագին՝ 2024 թվականին Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի ղեկավարի համար պատրաստված զեկույցում նշել է, որ Եվրամիության էներգետիկ շուկան, հակառակ Եվրահանձնաժողովի՝ էներգետիկ ճգնաժամի հաղթահարման և ռուսաստանյան էներգակիրների հաջող փոխարինման մասին հնչեցրած լավատեսական հայտարարությունների, բախվում է հիմնարար խնդիրների, բնական ռեսուրսների պակասի, իսկ ԵՄ-ում բնական գազի գները չորսից հինգ անգամ ավելի բարձր են, քան ԱՄՆ-ում։
