Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Էմանուել Մակրոնը ուրբաթ օրը Մեքսիկա կատարած այցի ժամանակ խոստացել էր, որ Լուվրից գողացված թագի զարդերը կգտնվեն։

«Մենք սկսել ենք հարցաքննության կանչել այն խմբի մի մասին, որը կատարել է այս գողությունը։ Թանկարժեք իրերը կգտնվեն, նրանց կբռնեն, և նրանք կկանգնեն դատարանի առաջ», - պարզաբանել է նա Televisa հեռուստաալիքին։

Պետության ղեկավարն ավելացրել է, որ սա «տեղի ունեցածից էլ ավելի ուժեղ դուրս գալու հնարավորություն է, քանի որ դա բոլորի համար ցնցում էր»։

Մակրոնը նաև խոստացել է, որ Փարիզի թանգարանի անվտանգությունը «ամբողջովին կվերանայվի»։ Նա հիշատակել է հունվարին հայտարարված «Նոր Վերածննդի Լուվր» ծրագիրը, որը նախատեսում է նոր շքեղ մուտքի դուռ և Լեոնարդո դա Վինչիի «Մոնա Լիզային» նվիրված սենյակ։

Հոկտեմբերի 19-ին գողերը ներխուժել են Լուվրի թանգարան և ռեկորդային կարճ ժամանակում գողացել 88 միլիոն եվրո արժողությամբ զարդեր։

Իշխանությունների տվյալներով՝ «անգնահատելի պատմական արժեք» ներկայացնող ութ առարկաների մեջ է գտնվում նաև կայսրուհի Եվգենիայի (Նապոլեոն III-ի կինը) դիադեմը, որի վրա կա գրեթե 2000 ադամանդ։ Չորս կասկածյալ կալանավորվել է, սակայն թանկարժեք իրերը մնում են չգտնված։ Հաշվիչ պալատը բարձրացրել է նախագծի արժեքի գնահատականը՝ հասցնելով 1,15 միլիարդ եվրոյի, այն դեպքում, երբ պետության ղեկավարի շրջապատում խոսվում էր 700-800 միլիոնի մասին։ Ներկայիս տեսքով ծրագիրը «չֆինանսավորված» է ճանաչվել։
