Եկեղեցու նկատմամբ ՀՀ իշխանությունների կողմից չընդհատվող հալածանքները վերջին օրերին արտահայտվեցին անօրինակ նոր դրսևորումներով։ Արագածոտնի թեմի Հովհաննավանքում Սուրբ Պատարագի նվիրական անվան ներքո իրականացված սրբապիղծ բեմականացումից հետո իրավապահների անմիջական մասնակցությամբ և խոչընդոտող խմբերի ներգրավմամբ, բռնազավթված է Հովհաննավանքը, որի հետևանքով խաթարվում է տեղում ծառայության նշանակված Տեր Սարգիս քհն․ Սարգսյանի և Տեր Մանուկ քնհ․ Զեյնալյանի հոգևոր ծառայությունը։ Միաժամանակ խոչընդոտող խմբերի կողմից սպառնալիքներ ու բռնության կոչեր են հնչում ծառայության նշանակված հոգևորականների նկատմամբ։

Հարկ ենք համարում արձանագրել, որ իշխանությունների հովանավորմամբ Հովհաննավանքում ծիսակատարությունների անվան տակ կատարվող գործողությունները պղծություն են, չունեն հոգևոր որևէ արժեք և անվավեր են, իսկ Հովհաննավանքի եկեղեցին ենթակա է վերասրբագործման։

Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածինը հետամուտ է լինելու օրինական բոլոր ճանապարհներով Հովհաննավանքի նկատմամբ իր իրավունքների վերականգնմանը, խղճի ազատության դեմ ոտնձգությունների հետևանքների վերացմանը, հավատացյալների հոգևոր-կանոնական կյանքի պաշտպանությանը և եկեղեցականների բնականոն ծառայության ապահովմանը։
