Белый дом уволил всех членов Комиссии, которая должна была рассмотреть проект строительства бального зала

Белый дом во вторник уволил всех шестерых членов Комиссии изящных искусств, независимого федерального агентства, которое должно было рассмотреть проект строительства бального зала президента Дональда Трампа, подтвердил NBC News представитель Белого дома.
Чиновник сказал, что Белый дом «готовится назначить новый состав комиссии, который в большей степени соответствует политике президента Трампа «Америка превыше всего»», и что шесть членов правления, все из которых были назначены бывшим президентом Джо Байденом, были проинформированы о том, что их увольняют немедленно по электронной почте из Белого дома.
В задачу комиссии входит консультирование президента, Конгресса и правительства округа Колумбия «по вопросам дизайна и эстетики, поскольку они затрагивают федеральные интересы и сохраняют достоинство столицы страны», говорится на сайте комиссии.
Члены правления были уволены вскоре после того, как Трамп объявил о своих планах построить арку вдоль реки Потомак, повторяющую дизайн французской Триумфальной арки, и новый бальный зал на месте Восточного крыла Белого дома, где всего несколько дней назад располагалось здание Белого дома.
