Իրանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Աբաս Արաղչին հայտարարել է, որ ամերիկա-իսրայելական 12-օրյա ագրեսիայից հետո Վաշինգտոնին վստահելու որեւէ հիմք չկա՝ ավելացնելով, որ ԱՄՆ չափից շատ պահանջները խոչընդոտում են բանակցությունների վերսկսմանը, հաղորդել է Mehr-ը։
Շաբաթ օրը միջոցառման ժամանակ իր առցանց ելույթում նա իրանցիների ազգային միասնությունը, որն ի հայտ եկավ Իսրայելի դեմ 12-օրյա պատերազմի ընթացքում եւ դրանից հետո, որակել է պատմության շրջադարձային կետ՝ ընդգծելով, որ այդ միասնությունը պետք է պահպանել։
«Պատրաստակամությունը պահպանելը պարտադիր չէ, որ նշանակի, որ պատերազմը կրկին կլինի. պատրաստված լինելը պատերազմը կանխելու ամենակարեւոր գործոնն է։ Եթե դուք պատրաստ չեք պատերազմի, այն տեղի կունենա. եթե դուք պատրաստ եք կռվել, ոչ ոք չի համարձակվի հարձակվել։ Պատրաստվածություն այժմ կա զինված ուժերում, ժողովրդի, կառավարության եւ հասարակության մեջ, եւ այն նույնիսկ ավելի բարձր է, քան 12-օրյա պատերազմից առաջ։ Ես վստահ եմ, որ այս փորձը չի կրկնվի, եւ եթե նրանք լուրջ սխալ թույլ տան, նրանք կբախվեն նույն պատասխանին [ինչպես հունիսին 12-օրյա պատերազմի ժամանակ]»,- ասել է նա իր ելույթում։ Նախարարն ընդգծել է, որ Իրանն իրավունք ունի հարստացնել ուրանը, նշելով, որ իրանական միջուկային ծրագիրը հետապնդում է բացառապես խաղաղ նպատակներ։
Նրա խոսքով՝ Իրանը պատրաստ է բանակցությունների իր խաղաղ միջուկային ծրագրի օրինականությունն ապացուցելու համար։
Դիվանագետը շեշտել է, որ «մենք լավ փորձ չենք ունեցել ԱՄՆ-ի հետ փոխգործակցելու հարցում, չնայած ազնիվ լինելուն եւ ամեն անգամ ճանապարհ բացելուն։ Մենք չենք վստահում եւ չենք վստահի։ Բայց նույնիսկ առանց վստահության մենք կարող ենք զգուշորեն փոխգործակցել։ Մենք դա արեցինք, բայց դրական արձագանք չստացանք։ Այդպիսին են ամերիկացիները։ Մենք գտնվում ենք այն կետում, որտեղ համագործակցության համար դրական հեռանկարներ չկան»։
«Մենք բազմիցս ասել ենք. եթե ամերիկացիները պատրաստ են լուրջ եւ անկեղծ բանակցություններ վարել՝ փոխշահավետ լուծում գտնելու համար հավասար դիրքերից, ազնիվ մոտեցմամբ, փոխադարձ օգուտ բերող, այլ ոչ թե միակողմանի, փոխադարձ հարգանքի վրա հիմնված համաձայնագիր կնքելու համար, մենք երբեք չենք հրաժարվել դիվանագիտությունից»,- եզրափակել է նա։
