Վահե Ղազարյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.
Անգլիացիներին պարտության մատնած թուրքական բանակը Սարդարապատի ճակատամարտում պարտվեց հայկական զորախմբերին: Նորագույն պատմության մեջ առաջին անգամ մեն-մենակ կարողացանք բանակ կազմել և պաշտպանել մեր ազատությունը:
Սարդարապատում հիմնովին փոխվեց մեր ինքնության կոդը: Հայն արդեն անմեղ զոհ չէր, նա Հայրենիքի զինվոր էր: Իսկ ժողովուրդը նահապետական անպաշտպան համայնքից վերածվել էր ազատության համար կռվող ազգի: Սարդարապատի հաղթանակով պայմանավորվեց առաջին հանրապետության ծնունդը: Սարդարապատից հետո նույնիսկ հոռետեսները չէին ասում, թե չենք կարող պետություն ստեղծել և ապահովել մեր անվտանգությունը: Սարդարապատի հաղթանակն արդեն մեր գենի մեջ էր: Արցախյան պատերազմի սկզբում ինքնապաշտպանության ոգին նույնպես սնվում էր Սարդարապատով:
1991-ի ամռանը ադրբեջանական և խորհրդային միացյալ ուժերի, տանկերի, ինքնաթիռների դեմ դուրս գալն իսկական խենթություն էր համարվում, ինչպես Սարդարապատում թուրքական գերակշիռ զորքի դեմ ելնելը: Բայց փառք մեր հերոսներին, որոնք առանց երկար-բարակ մտածելու, խենթի պես դուրս եկան զավթիչների միացյալ ուժերի դեմ և երբեմն կյանքի գնով պաշտպանեցին ժողովրդի ազատ ապրելու իրավունքը՝ մեր անկախությունը: 97 տարի առաջ այս օրը ծագած հաղթանակի արևը թող միշտ ուղեկցի մեզ:
