«Որոշ հայեր այնպես են պաշպանում Հռոմի Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցուն և առանց ամաչելու զրպարտում ու հայհոյում մեզ, կարծես մենք թշնամիներ ենք։
Օտարին սիրելը առաքինություն է, բայց օտարամոլությունը `մեծ մեղք։ Ինչպես կարելի է այսքան օտարամոլ լինել։ Օտարամոլությունն ու անտարբերությունը քանդել են մեր տունը»,- գրել է Տեր Մաղաքիա քահանա Օհանյանը։
«Երևի շատերը մոռացել են, որ հենց Բյուզանդիան և Հռոմն են պատմության ընթացքում մենակ թողել մեր ազգին այլակրոն զավթիչների դեմ։
451թվականին, հայերին պարսիկների դեմ կռվում օգնության գալու փոխարեն , Քաղկեդոնի ժողով են գումարում, Հայ եկեղեցուն չեն հրավիրում և բաժանում մտցնում եկեղեցիների միջև։ Եվ այսպես բազմաթիվ անգամներ մեզ խաբել են, լքել և մենակ թողել։ Կամ ո՞վ հանձնեց Կիլիկիան, կամ ի՞նչ եղավ Լեհաստանի հայկական մեծ գաղութի հետ 19-րդ դարում։ Մարդիկ չգիտեն կամ մոռացել են ֆրանցիսկյան միսիոներների և քարոզիչների արշավը Հայաստան, որոնց պատճառով էլ շատ հայեր դարձան ֆրանկներ։ Այսօր նրանք ապրում են Հայաստանի հյուսիսում և Վրաստանի Սամցխե-Ջավախքի մարզում։
Հույն և Հռոմի Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցիները պատմության ընթացքում բազմաթիվ անգամներ ցանկացել են հայերիս դավանափոխ անել, բայց չի ստացվել։
Եվ միայն, շնորհիվ մեր երանաշորհ և իմաստուն հայրապետների, եպիսկոպոսների, վարդապետների ու քահանաների հայ ազգը դավանափոխ չի եղել։ Մենք հավատարիմ ենք մնացել Առաքելահաստատ մեր Սուրբ Եկեղեցուն։
Փաստորեն, մենք ենք մեղավոր, որ չեն կարողացել։
Այսքանից հետո, դարձյալ հայ եկեղեցու իմաստուն և շրջահայաց քաղաքականության շնորհիվ վերականգնվել է բարիդրացիական, և այսօրվա եղբայրական հարաբերությունները Հույն և Կաթոլիկ, Ռուս ու քաղկեդոնական մյուս բոլոր եկեղեցիների միջև։
Ցավոք, ժամանակ է եղել, երբ մեր որոշ արծաթասեր և փառասեր իշխաներ գահընկեց են արել Հայոց արքային և կաթողիկոսին, այնուհետև իրենք կամ կրոնափոխ են եղել կամ էլ դավանափոխ։ Մեր Հայրենիքն էլ բաժանվել է այս կամ այն օտար տերությունների միջև։
Մենք ո՛չ մեկին ո՛չ դավանափոխ ենք արել և ո՛չ էլ բաժանել կամ պառակտել։ Պարզապես, ուզում ենք մերը պահել և հավատարիմ մնալ մեր Սուրբ Եկեղեցուն։
Մի՛ մոռացեք, որ Հայ Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցին է հիմադիրը Հայոց պետականության, դպրության և քրիստոնեական մեծ մշակույթի։
Միայն հիշեցնեմ, որ եթե չլինեին Գևորգ 5-րդ և Գևորգ 6-րդ Հայոց Կաթողիկոսները, ապա չէր լինի Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը, իսկ մեր ողջ ազգը կլիներ անհայրենիք և տարագիր։
