«Մայր Հայաստան» կուսակցության անդամ Գոռ Հովհաննիսյանը համոզված է, որ Գյումրու քաղաքապետ Վարդան Ղուկասյանի կալանավորումը քաղաքական նպատակ ունի և ուղղված է ընդդիմադիր դաշտի դեմ ճնշումներ գործադրելու համար։

«Դա հնարավոր չէ անվանել այլ կերպ, քան ռեպրեսիաներ։ Սա պարզապես ճնշում չէ Վարդան Ղուկասյանի նկատմամբ, սա ճնշում է ամբողջ ընդդիմադիր դաշտի վրա», – նշել է նա «Փաստ»–ի հետ զրույցում։

Հովհաննիսյանի խոսքով՝ իշխանությունների այս քայլը կանխատեսելի էր. «Ես սպասում էի այս կալանավորմանը, կարծում էի՝ այն տեղի կունենա փետրվարին կամ մարտին, բայց իշխանությունները որոշեցին գործել ավելի շուտ։ Վարդան Ղուկասյանը միշտ բացահայտ է հանդես եկել գործող իշխանության դեմ՝ կոշտ և հետևողական ձևով։ Ես նրա թիմի անդամ չեմ, բայց աջակցում եմ նրան, որովհետև նա ընտրված քաղաքապետ է, և դա է ամենակարևորը»։

Քաղաքական գործչի համոզմամբ՝ միայն կալանքով որևէ քաղաքում իշխանություն հաստատել հնարավոր չէ։ Նա չի բացառում, որ գործընթացն արագացվել է Վաղարշապատում սպասվող ընտրությունների ֆոնին։

«Օրեր առաջ մենք Վաղարշապատում ներկայացրինք «Մայր Հայաստան» կուսակցության նախընտրական ծրագիրը։ Շատ բնակիչներ բացահայտ աջակցություն հայտնեցին մեր թեկնածուներին։ Դրանից հետո երթով շարժվեցինք դեպի Էջմիածնի մայր տաճար, որտեղ “Մեր ձևով” շարժման միջոցառմանը հավաքվել էին մեծաքանակ մարդիկ։ Այսօրվա իշխանությունների գործողությունները փորձ են ճնշում գործադրել և վախեցնել ընդդիմախոսներին Վաղարշապատում, այդ թվում՝ Գյումրու քաղաքապետի կալանավորման միջոցով», – ընդգծել է Հովհաննիսյանը։

Նրա գնահատմամբ՝ իշխանությունները գիտակցում են, որ առաջիկա ընտրություններում հաղթանակ ապահովելը դժվար է։ «Նրանք հասկանում են, որ ի վիճակի չեն հավաքել 50 տոկոս + 1 ձայն և պատրաստ են ամեն ինչի՝ միայն թե պահեն վերահսկողությունը», – ասել է նա։

Գոռ Հովհաննիսյանը քաղաքացիներին կոչ է արել չհաշտվել սեփական քվեի նկատմամբ ցուցաբերվող նման վերաբերմունքի հետ. «Քվեարկողները չպետք է թույլ տան, որ իշխանությունները անտեսեն իրենց կամքը և ընտրությունները կազմակերպեն իրենց ուզած ձևով։ Նույնիսկ եթե վարչապետը պարտություն կրի, նա միևնույն է կփորձի հայտարարել, թե “նախկիններն” են կեղծել արդյունքները։ Սա չպետք է անպատասխան մնա»։
