Հեղինակները վերլուծել են 11 պատահականացված կլինիկական փորձարկումների տվյալները, որոնցում երիցուկի վրա հիմնված պատրաստուկներն օգտագործվել են լորձաթաղանթի բորբոքման, բերանի խոռոչի վարակների և ստամոքս-աղիքային համակարգի վարակների բուժման համար: Երիցուկի մզվածքը զգալիորեն նվազեցրել է ցավը, այտուցը և բորբոքումը, ինչպես նաև արագացրել է հյուսվածքների վերականգնումը: Ազդեցությունը վիճակագրորեն նշանակալի էր և համեմատելի ոչ ստերոիդային հակաբորբոքային դեղամիջոցների հետ, սակայն առանց դրանց բնորոշ կողմնակի ազդեցությունների:
Երիցուկը ցույց է տվել իր ամենամեծ արդյունավետությունը լորձաթաղանթի բորբոքման՝ քիմիաթերապիայից կամ ճառագայթային թերապիայից հետո հաճախ առաջացող լորձաթաղանթի բորբոքման բուժման մեջ: Գիտնականները բույսի բուժիչ հատկությունները վերագրում են դրա ակտիվ բաղադրիչներին՝ մասնավորապես՝ բորբոքային ցիտոկինների արտադրությունը խթանող և հյուսվածքների վերականգնումը ճնշող բիսաբոլոլին և ապիգենինին:
Հետազոտողների համոզմամբ՝ երիցուկը կարող է դառնալ անվտանգ և մատչելի այլընտրանք խրոնիկական բորբոքման ապաքինման համար և միանգամայն կարող է օգտագործվել նաև կանխարգելիչ և կոսմետիկ միջոցների արտադրանքներում:
