«Վահագնը մեկ տարի դեպրեսիայի մեջ էր, երբ նոր տեղափոխվեցինք ԱՄՆ: Ես բացեցի պարի դպրոց, որտեղ սկզբում գալիս էր ընդամենը 3 երեխա: Բնական է, դրանով չես կարող ապրել Միացյալ նահանգներում, վարձել բնակարան և այլն: Ես գտա աշխատանքի այլընտանքային տարբերակ: Աշխատում էի մեծերի մանկապարտեզում, որտեղ տատիկ-պապիկները ժամը 9-ից 2-ը գալիս և ժամանց էին անցկացնում: Այսինքն՝ գալիս, երգում, պարում, մարզանք են անում, խաչբառ են լուծում և այլն: Ես էի կազմակերպիչը: 2 տարի աշխատել եմ և էմոցիոնալ շատ անհավասարակշիռ վիճակ էր մոտս: Եվ սիրում էի, որովհետև շատ լավ տատիկ-պապիկներ կային, և կային հակառակը՝ չարացած, ովքեր երեխաներ էին կորցրել: Սկզբում շատ բարդ էր, իրենք էլ ինձ չէին ընդունում, փորձում էին իրենց օրենքները թելադրել: Բայց իմ պայքարի արդյունքում մենք եկանք համաձայնության: Իսկ պարի դպրոցում այդ տարիների ընթացքում 3 երեխան դարձավ 5, հետո 5-ը 10 և այլ: Վահագն այդ ընթացքում զբաղվում էր ինչով հնարավոր է, բայց ստեղծագործում էր: Հեռավորության մեջ կա մի կարևոր բան՝ կամ մարդիկ իրար կորցնում են, կամ ավելի են միանում: Մեր դեպքում 2-րդ տարբերակն էր»,- «Սրտի տանիքներով» հաղորդման շրջանակներում՝ խոսելով ԱՄՆ մեկնելու դժվարության մասին, պատմել է պարուհի Իռեն Ուլիխանովան:
