Բնականաբար, այն ելքը ընդունելի կլիներ, եթե կալանքի ներկայացված միջնորդությունը, որ արդեն երկրորդ երկարաձգման միջնորդությունն էր ընդհանրապես մերժվեր՝ հիմնավոր կասկածի բացակայությամբ: Իսկ այն, որ այս քրեական վարույթն ի վերջո կարճվելու է, մոռացվելու է,  իր վախճանն է ունենալու, այդտեղ երկրորդ կարծիք չկա:
Այս մասին «Մեր ձևով» շարժման հանրահավաքից առաջ լրագրողների հետ զրույցում, խոսելով գործարար, բարերար Սամվել Կարապետյանի կալանքի երկարաձգման միջնորդության ելքի մասին, ասել է փաստաբան Արամ Վարդևանյանը:

«Դուք, որ պատկերացնեք, ի վերջո դատարանը գտել է, որ հիմնավոր կասկածը երեք դրվագներից միայն մեկով է հաստատվե,լ և դա հայտնի հարցազրույցի քրեական վարույթն է, որտեղ պարզապես հնչել էր՝ «Մեր ձևով կմասնակցենք եկեղեցու պաշտպանությանը», ի վերջո, դա ո՞նց կարող է քրեական վարույթի հարց լինել»,- ասել է Վարդևանյանը:  

Լրագրողների այն հարցին, որ նոր մեղադրանքներ են ներկայացվել, Վարդևանյանը պատասխանել է. «Որոնցից ոչ մեկով հիմնավոր կասկածը չի  հաղթահարվել: Հիմնավոր կասկածն ապացուցման բավականին ցածր շեմն է և չնայած դրան, տնտեսական բնույթի ենթադրյալ հանցանքների ամբողջ խումբն ընդհանրապես հիմնավոր կասկածի ապացուցման շեմը չէր հաղթահարել, բայց ամենազարմանալին որն է, որ ի վերջո 50-ից ավել քննիչներ ներգրավված են Սամվել Կարապետյանի քրեական վարույթում: Իրենք գալիս են դատարան՝ խնդրելով ժամանակ, որ լրացուցիչ գործողություններ կատարեն, սա արդեն աբսուրդ է»:

Փաստաբանը հավելել է. «Եթե հարցնեք ինչ գործողոթյուններ են անում՝ պարզ չէ, մենք չենք հասկանում: Հերթական նիստին, որ հարցնում ենք, ոչ մի պատասխան չենք ստանում: Սամվել Կարապետյանին վերաբերող որևէ գործողություն չի կատարվել: Դատարանը նաև դիտարկեց այն տվյալը, որ մենք այս ժամանակահատվածում 3-4 անգամ դիմել էինք քննիչներին, որ Սամվել Կարպետյանին վերաբերող գործողություն անեն: Չեն կատարել»:
