Հակակոռուպցիոն դատարանը բավարարել է քննչական մարմնի միջնորդությունը և 30 օրով երկարացրել ազգային բարերար, գործարար Սամվել Կարապետյանի կալանքը։ Դատարանը չհաստատեց տնտեսական բնույթի մեղադրանքները՝ «հարկեր չվճարելու» և «փողերի լվացման» մասով՝ արձանագրելով, որ դրանք նույնիսկ հիմնավոր կասկածի շեմը չեն հաղթահարել։ Կալանքի երկարաձգումը հիմնավորվել է միայն մեկ՝ «իշխանությունը զավթելու կոչի» հոդվածով, ինչը, ըստ իրավաբանների և քաղաքական դիտորդների, վկայում է, որ գործը չունի իրավական, այլ՝ քաղաքական հիմք։

Սամվել Կարապետյանի միջազգային փաստաբան Ռոբերտ Ամստերդամը հայտարարել է, որ սա իրավական աբսուրդ է և հերթական ապացույցն այն բանի, որ Հայաստանի իշխանությունները պարոն Կարապետյանին պահում են որպես քաղաքական պատանդ՝ Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցին պաշտպանելու և ազգային գաղափարների շուրջ միավորման համար։ Նրա խոսքով՝ մի երկրում, որը հայտարարում է ժողովրդավարությանն իր հանձնառությունը, նման թույլ և ֆիկտիվ գործի հիման վրա քաղաքացիական անձին անազատության մեջ պահելը ամոթալի է։

«Տաշիր» ընկերությունների խմբի առաջին փոխնախագահ, «Մեր ձևով» շարժման համակարգող Նարեկ Կարապետյանը կոչ է արել քաղաքացիներին մասնակցել հոկտեմբերի 18-ին, ժամը 16:30-ին, Օպերայի հարակից հրապարակում կայանալիք հանրահավաքին։ «Սիրելի հայրենակիցներ՝ շաբաթ օրը, ժամը 16:30-ին, հավաքվում ենք Երևանի Օպերայի հրապարակում, որտեղից միասին երթով կշարժվենք դեպի Սամվել Կարապետյանի և Եկեղեցու հայրերի ապօրինի կալանավորման վայր։ Երկու ժամ հատկացնենք մեր օրից, որ ունենանք Արդարություն և Բարեկեցություն մեր երկրում», — նշել է նա։

«Մեր ձևով» շարժումը հայտարարում է, որ պայքարը շարունակվելու է մինչև Սամվել Կարապետյանի և մյուս կալանավորված եկեղեցականների անհապաղ ազատումը։ Շարժման ներկայացուցիչները շեշտում են՝ իրենց դիմումը ԵՄ-ին և միջազգային կառույցներին՝ Կարապետյանին որպես քաղբանտարկյալ ճանաչելու վերաբերյալ, արդեն ուժի մեջ է և գտնվում է իրագործման փուլում։

Շարժման հաղորդագրության մեջ նշվում է, որ վերջին ամիսներին ուժգնացել են ազատ խոսքի և եկեղեցու դեմ ճնշումները․ լրագրողների, հոգևորականների և հասարակական գործիչների նկատմամբ իրականացվող քրեական գործերը միայն ամրապնդում են այն համոզումը, որ երկրում ձևավորվել է քաղաքական հետապնդումների համակարգ։

Հոկտեմբերի 18-ի հանրահավաքը դառնալու է արդարություն և իրավական պետություն պահանջող շարժման հերթական դրսևորումը՝ ժողովրդի կամքի հստակ արտահայտությամբ։
