Ադրբեջանը պատրաստվում է օկուպացված Շուշիի կենտրոնին տալ 70-80-ականների տեսքը։ Այս միտքը հնչեցրել է ադրբեջանցի պաշտոնյա Մուսլիմ Իմրանլին քաղաքաշինությանը նվիրված միջոցառման ժամանակ։
«Մենք կկարողանանք վերականգնել Շուշայի պատմական կենտրոնը բավական հանգամանալիորեն։ Միայն թե վերականգնման գործընթացը շատ թանկ է եւ ժամանակատար, ուստի այն երկար ժամանակ կպահանջի»,- նշել է նա։ Մ. Իմրանլին հայտնել է, որ ճարտարապետ Էլթուրան Ավալովի արխիվում կան կարեւոր նյութեր, որոնք արտացոլում են «Շուշայի պատմական տեսքը». «Վերջերս մենք ստացանք Էլթուրան Ավալովի նեգատիվների հսկայական արխիվը։ Նրա համաձայնությամբ մենք դրանք վերցրել ենք։ Կան մոտ 1 500 նեգատիվներ։ Նա լուսանկարել է Շուշան 1970-ական եւ 1980-ական թթ.։ Այդ լուսանկարները երբեք չեն հրապարակվել կամ թվայնացվել։ Մենք սկսեցինք այդ գործընթացը, թվայնացրինք դրանք, եւ հիմա մենք հստակ տեսնում ենք, թե ինչ տեսք ուներ Շուշան 1970-ական եւ 1980-ական թթ., այդ թվում՝ թե որտեղ էին գտնվում փողոցները։ Քաղաքը մի քանի անգամ ավերվել է, եւ մենք դրա հետքերը գտնում ենք հենց հին արխիվներում»։
Հիշեցնենք, որ 1970-ական եւ 1980-ական թթ. Շուշին, որը ադրբեջանցի պաշտոնյան անվանում է «Շուշա» աղավաղված անունով, գտնվում էր Ադրբեջանի կազմում: Նախկինում չհրապարակված եւ, հնարավոր է, կեղծ լուսանկարների օգտագործումը, զուգորդված ամբողջ հայ բնակչության վտարման հետ, ադրբեջանական իշխանություններին լայն հնարավորություն է տալիս կեղծել հին հայկական քաղաքի ճարտարապետությունը: Կարելի է միայն պատկերացնել, թե ինչ տեսք կունենա Շուշիի կենտրոնը նման «վերականգնումից» հետո:
