Հունգարիայի վարչապետ Վիկտոր Օրբանը արձագանքել է այն հայտարարությանը, ըստ որի Դոնալդ Թրամփը և Վլադիմիր Պուտինը կհանդիպեն Բուդապեշտում՝ Ուկրաինայում պատերազմի ավարտը քննարկելու համար։

«Ամերիկայի և Ռուսաստանի նախագահների միջև նախատեսված հանդիպումը հիանալի նորություն է աշխարհի խաղաղասեր ազգերի համար։ Մենք պատրաստ ենք»,- գրել է նա սոցիալական ցանցերում։

Ավելի ուշ Օրբանը հայտարարել է, որ հեռախոսով խոսել է Թրամփի հետ, և որ գագաթնաժողովի նախապատրաստական ​​աշխատանքներն ընթացքի մեջ են։

Պուտինի հետ հեռախոսազրույցը տեղի է ունեցել Թրամփի և Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկու՝ ուրբաթ Սպիտակ տանը նախատեսված հանդիպման նախօրեին։ Զելենսկին հայտարարել է, որ հույս ունի համոզել Վաշինգտոնին տրամադրել Tomahawk հրթիռներ և այլ զենքի համակարգեր, որոնք Ուկրաինային հնարավորություն կտան գրոհել Ռուսաստանի խորքերը։
