Դատարանը երկու ամսով կալանավորել է Արագածոտնի թեմի առաջնորդ Մկրտիչ եպիսկոպոս Պռոշյանին։ Որոշումը Երևան քաղաքի առաջին ատյանի ընդհանուր իրավասության քրեական դատարանում կայացրել է դատավոր Կարեն Ֆարխոյանը։ Վերջինս Փաշինյանի սրտի դատավորներից է։ Նա է քննել «Սրբազան պայքարի» առաջնորդ Բագրատ Գալստանյանի և նրա 17 համակիրների կալանքի միջնորդությունը և բավարարել։

Ընդ որում, Ֆարխոյանի որոշմամբ սահմանափակվել են Մկրտիչ եպիսկոպոսի հետ տեսակցությունները. նրա հետ կարող է հանդիպել միայն մայրը։ Մեկ ամսով կալանավորվել է նաև Արագածոտնի թեմի դիվանապետ Տեր Գարեգին Արսենյանը։ Գործող իշխանությունները երեկ վաղ առավոտից հարձակման էին անցել Արագածոտնի թեմի վրա, տասնյակից ավելի քահանաների բերման էին ենթարկել, իսկ Մկրտիչ եպիսկոպոսին ժամեր շարունակ պահել Երևանի քննչական բաժնում՝ թույլ չտալով կապվել որևէ մեկի հետ։

Բնականաբար, առաջադրված մեղադրանքները որևէ լուրջ հիմնավորում չունեն, և քրեական գործն էլ հարուցվել է մատնիչների հաղորդումների հիման վրա։ Հովհանավանքի քահանա Տեր Արամի՝ Հանրային հեռուստաընկերությամբ արած հայտարարությունների մասով Դանիել Իոաննիսյանն էր հաղորդում ներկայացրել դատախազություն։ Մկրտիչ եպիսկոպոսը երրորդն է Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու բարձրաստիճան սպասավորներից, որ գտնվում է կալանքի տակ։ Նրանից առաջ կալանավորել էին նաև Միքայել արքեպիսկոպոս Աջապահյանին և Բագրատ արքեպիսկոպոս Գալստանյանին։

Փաստացի, Մայր Աթոռի դեմ հարձակումից առաջ Փաշինյանը վերջին նախապատրաստություններն է իրականացնում՝ փորձելով մեկուսացնել իր հիմնական ընդդիմախոս բարձրաստիճան հոգևորականներին, որպեսզի ավելի հեշտ լինի հարձակումը Վեհարանի վրա։ Հենց առաջիկայում էլ Փաշինյանը գնալու է նման ստոր քայլերի և ոչնչի առջև կանգ չի առնելու։
