«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
Կ. Ստանիսլավսկու անվան ռուսական դրամատիկական թատրոնի տնօրեն Սուրեն Շահվերդյանը դեռևս հունիսի 24-ին հայտարարել էր, որ թատրոնի հիմնական բեմը երեք ամիս չի գործի, քանի որ փոխվում են թատրոնի հիմնական դահլիճի 70 տարեկան աթոռները։ «ԿԳՄՍ նախարարությունն այս տարի տենդեր իրականացրեց, հաղթող կա, մոտ օրերս կկնքվի պայմանագիրը»,-ասել էր նա:
Եռամսյա ժամկետը լրացել է սեպտեմբերի 24-ին, սակայն, մեր տեղեկություններով, թատրոնի աթոռներն այդպես էլ չեն փոխվել: Փոխարենը, ինչպես փոխանցում են մեր աղբյուրները, թատրոնի տնօրենը վերանորոգել է իր աշխատասենյակն ու իր հետ ուղղակի առնչություն ունեցող ևս մի երկու սենյակ:
Երեկ մենք զրուցեցինք Սուրեն Շահվերդյանի հետ՝ ճշտելու մեր ունեցած տեղեկությունները: Նա հաստատեց, որ աթոռներն իսկապես չեն փոխվել: «Թատրոնի աշխատանքը կկանգնի նոյեմբերի 5-ից մինչև դեկտեմբերի, երևի, ամենաուշը 10-ը։ Ժամկետ է դրված, որ դեկտեմբերի 10-ին մեր դահլիճը լիովին նորոգվի, նոր աթոռներով կբացվի։ Աթոռները ճանապարհին են, նոյեմբերի 17-ին հասնում են Հայաստան, հետաձգվել էր պատվերը, խնդիր էր առաջացել գործարանում»։
Ինչ վերաբերում է վերանորոգումներին, Շահվերդյանն ասաց. «Այո, իմ, փոխտնօրենի աշխատասենյակները և ընդունարանն է վերանորոգվել, որովհետև ձմռանը նույնիսկ տաքացուցիչ միացնելու դեպքում այդ սենյակները չէին տաքանում»:
Ի հավելում՝ նա ասաց, որ թատրոնի դիմացի «անշնորհք և փնթի պաստառները փոխվել են, դարձել են ոճային և թրենդային»: Վերջում նաև հատուկ տեղեկացրեց, որ թատրոնի ծառայողական մուտքի դուռը, որը հնացել էր և չէր գործում, փոխվել է։
