Հոկտեմբերի սկզբին Ռուսաստանում սպասվում է եղանակի կտրուկ փոփոխություն: NEWS.ru-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ օդերևութաբանները զգուշացնում են, որ ջերմաստիճանը կսկսի արագ իջնել, հատկապես երկրի եվրոպական մասում: Օդերևութաբան Ալեքսանդր Սերգեևի կանխատեսմամբ՝ աստիճանական անցում չի լինի. զով եղանակը անմիջապես կգա, և շատ շրջաններում ցրտահարություններ կլինեն արդեն ամսվա առաջին տասնօրյակում: Օրվա ընթացքում ջերմաստիճանը կհասնի 7-10°C-ի, իսկ գիշերը իրական ցրտահարություններ են սպասվում: Մոսկվան նույնպես այն շրջանների շարքում է, որտեղ աշունը կավարտվի սովորականից շուտ, իսկ ցուրտ եղանակը անսպասելիորեն արագ կժամանի:
Ուրալում և Սիբիրում եղանակային պայմաններն ավելի խիստ կլինեն: Սերգեևի կանխատեսմամբ՝ ձմեռը այնտեղ կսկսվի սովորականից շուտ: Օրվա ընթացքում ջերմաստիճանը չի գերազանցի 4-6°C-ը, իսկ գիշերները իսկապես ցուրտ կլինեն, ինչը տեղի բնակիչներին կստիպի անցնել ձմեռային հագուստի: Օդերևութաբան Միխայիլ Սեմենովը հավելել է, որ ջերմաստիճանի անկմանը չնայած՝ հոկտեմբերին քիչ տեղումներ են սպասվում, և շատ խոնավություն չի լինի, ինչը կնվազեցնի առավոտյան սառցակալման վտանգը: Սակայն ամբողջ ամիսը կանխատեսվում է քամոտ, ինչը կուժեղացնի ցրտի զգացողությունը նույնիսկ ցերեկը։
Օդերևութաբան Միխայիլ Լեուսը պարզաբանեց, որ մայրաքաղաքում առաջին ձյունը կարող է տեղալ արդեն հոկտեմբերի սկզբին, չնայած, երկարաժամկետ դիտարկումների համաձայն, կայուն ձյան ծածկույթը սովորաբար ձևավորվում է նոյեմբերին ավելի մոտ։ Առաջին ձյան միջին ամսաթիվը հոկտեմբերի 16-ն է, իսկ 21-րդ դարում ամենավաղ ձյան ծածկույթը եղել է հոկտեմբերի 9-ը։ Լեուսը նշեց. «Անսովոր չէ, որ մայրաքաղաքում առաջին ձյունը տեղա հոկտեմբերի սկզբին։ Առաջին ձյան ծածկույթի ձևավորման երկարաժամկետ միջին ցուցանիշը նոյեմբերի 2-ն է»։
