«Իմ կյանքի կտրուկ փոփոխությունը որդուս՝ Արթուրի հետ էր կապված: Երբ  նա ծնվեց, հասկացա, թե ինչ է լինելու ապագայում: Նա ամբողջությամբ կապտած ծնվեց բժշկական մի շարք սխալների հետևանքով: Չեմ ուզում որևէ մեկին փնովել, բոլոր բժիշկները սխալական են:

Նա կարող էր շուտ ծնվել ու չունենալ այդ խնդիրը: Բայց ծնվեց ավելի ուշ, կապտած ու թթվածնային քաղցով: Շատ դժվարությունների միջով եմ անցել, ու մինչև Արթուրիկը Շաքեն՝ այլևս չկա:  Այդ թեթև, հանգիստ, ուրախ աղջկանից մնացել է երևի 40 տոկոսը: Ես միշտ շատ էներգիայով լեցուն եմ եղել, հիմա՝ ոչ:

Ինձ համար երեխայի առողջությունից թանկ ոչինչ չկա:

Նա շատ ուժեղ տղա է, շատ բաների միջով է անցել ու տղամարդուն վայել է անցել: Ոտքերի հետ խնդիր ուներ, հիմա օրթեզներ է կրում ու այդ ամենի միջով շատ պատվով է անցնում: Գիտի, որ դա պետք է և անում է: Ինքը երազում էր ֆուտբոլ խաղալ ու ես նրան ասացի, որ սա անես, կկարողանաս վազել ու ֆուտբոլ խաղալ: Ասաց՝ մամ, ես դա կանեմ: Ու հիմա նա ֆուտբոլի է գնում: Իմ կյանքի ամենաերջանիկ պահն է, որ ես տեսնում եմ, որ նա վազում է բակում: Մամաներին ուզում եմ խնդրել, որ ոչ մի դեպքում չհուսահատվեն, կան դրություններ, որ լուծելի են: Եթե տեսնում եք, որ ձեր երեխան պոտենցյալ ունի թեկուզ քայլելու, մինչև վերջ գնացեք»,- «Սրտի տանքիներով» հաղորդման շրջանակներում՝ խոսելով որդու առողջական խնդիրների մասին, պատմել է բժիշկ-ռադիոլոգ, բլոգեր Շաքե Հմայակյանը:
