ՆԱՍԱ-ն Մարսի վրա հայտնաբերել է հնագույն կյանքի հնարավոր հետքեր

Ամերիկացի աստղագետները հայտնաբերել են հնագույն կյանքի ձևերի հնարավոր հետքեր ամերիկյան մարսագնաց Perseverance-ի կողմից հավաքված նմուշներում: Այդ մասին հայտնել է գործակալության գիտական ծրագրերի ղեկավար Նիկի Ֆոքսը, որի խոսքերը մեջբերել է Ամերիկյան տիեզերական գործակալության (NASA) կայքը։
«Այս հայտնագործությունը NASA-ի առաքելության ռազմավարական պլանավորման, մշակման և իրականացման ուղղակի արդյունք է, որը կարող է տրամադրել հենց այսպիսի գիտական տվյալներ՝ բացահայտելով Մարսի վրա պոտենցիալ կենսաբանական սեգմենտներ: Այս գրախոսված ուսումնասիրության հրապարակմամբ NASA-ն տվյալները հասանելի է դարձնում գիտական լայն հանրությանը հետագա հետազոտությունների համար՝ դրանց կենսաբանական բնույթը հաստատելու կամ հերքելու համար», -ասել է Ֆոքսը։
NASA-ի տվյալներով՝ Perseverance մարսագնացը կարմիր մոլորակի վրա հայտնաբերել է հող՝ «ընձառյուծի նախշ» հիշեցնող բնորոշ բծերով տեղանքից, ինչը մեծ հետաքրքրություն է առաջացրել հետազոտողների շրջանում: Այս բծերը պարունակում էին երկաթով հարուստ երկու հանքանյութերի հետքեր՝ վիանիտի (հիդրատացված երկաթի ֆոսֆատ) և գրեյգիտի (երկաթի սուլֆիդ): Վիատիտը հաճախ հանդիպում է Երկրի վրա նստվածքներում, տորֆային ճահիճներում և քայքայվող օրգանական նյութերում: Նմանապես, Երկրի վրա միկրոօրգանիզմների որոշ ձևեր կարող են առաջացնել գրեյգիտ:
