Ռազմական գործողությունների հետևանքով առաջացած առողջապահական ճգնաժամի սրման ֆոնին խոլերայի համաճարակն ընդգրկել է Եմենի տարածքի 96 տոկոսը։ Այս մասին հայտնում է «Washington Post»-ը՝ հղում անելով Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպության Եմենի գրասենյակի ղեկավարի տեղակալ Նուխա Մահմուդին:
«Հունվարից մինչև հուլիսի կեսեր Եմենում գրանցվել է ենթադրաբար խոլերայով հիվանդանալու ավելի քան 50 հազար դեպք և դրա հետ կապված 149 մահ։ Խոլերայի համաճարակն ընդգրկել է երկրի տարածքի 96 տոկոսը՝ դառնալով աշխարհում ամենասարսափելի բռնկումներից մեկը», - գրում է թերթը։
Բժիշկներն ու մարդասիրական աշխատողները պատմել են, որ նավահանգիստներին և քաղաքացիական ենթակառուցվածքներին հասցված իսրայելական ու ամերիկյան օդային հարվածները հանգեցրել են արտերկրից մարդասիրական օգնության մատակարարումների դադարեցման: Արդյունքում Եմենը բախվել է խորացող մարդասիրական ճգնաժամի։
Եմենի հյուսիսում իշխող շիա ռազմաքաղաքական «Անսար Ալլահ» շարժումը օգոստոսի 30-ին պաշտոնապես հայտարարեց իր վարչապետ Ահմեդ Գալեբ ար Ռահավիի և մի շարք նախարարների մահվան մասին։ Ըստ հայտարարության պաշտոնյաները մահացել են խորհրդակցության ժամանակ հասցված իսրայելական ավիահարվածի հետևանքով: Երբ խմբավորումը հայտարարեց Թել Ավիվի «Բեն Գուրիոն» օդանավակայանի վրա «Պաղեստին-2» հիպերձայնային հրթիռով հարձակման մասին, 24 ժամ անց Իսրայելը 12 ավիահարված հասցրեց Սանայում գտնվող «Անսար Ալլահի» զորանոցների և օբյեկտների ուղղությամբ:
Ի պատասխան կառավարության անդամների սպանության՝ հութիները Իսրայելին սպառնացին իրավիճակի սրմամբ և հրաժարվեցին դադարեցնել Իսրայելին հասցվող հարվածները:
