Անտառային հրդեհները, որոնք, հավանաբար, ավելացել են կլիմայի փոփոխության պատճառով, անցյալ տարի զգալիորեն նպաստել են օդի աղտոտվածությանը, ասված է Համաշխարհային օդերևութաբանական կազմակերպության (ՀՕԿ) ուրբաթ հրապարակած զեկույցում։
Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպության տվյալներով՝ մթնոլորտային օդի աղտոտվածությունը տարեկան 4.5 միլիոն վաղաժամ մահվան պատճառ է դառնում։ ՀՕԿ-ի 2024 թվականի զեկույցում աղտոտվածության «տաք կետեր» են հայտնաբերվել այն տարածաշրջաններում, որտեղ խոշոր հրդեհներ են տեղի ունեցել, մասնավորապես՝ Ամազոնի ավազանում, Կանադայում, Սիբիրում և Կենտրոնական Աֆրիկայում։
Գլոբալ տաքացումը, որը հիմնականում պայմանավորված է բրածո վառելիքի արտանետումներով, փոխում է եղանակային պայմանները՝ ամբողջ աշխարհում անտառային հրդեհներն ավելի հաճախակի և ծանր դարձնելով։ Դրանք ավելացնում են օդում արդեն իսկ առաջացած մասնիկային նյութերի քանակը, որոնք առաջանում են ածխի, նավթի, գազի և փայտի այրման, ինչպես նաև տրանսպորտի և գյուղատնտեսության հետևանքով։
«Անտառային հրդեհները մասնիկային աղտոտվածության զգալի աղբյուր են, և կանխատեսվում է, որ խնդիրը կվատթարանա կլիմայի տաքացմանը զուգընթաց՝ ենթակառուցվածքների, էկոհամակարգերի և մարդու առողջության համար աճող ռիսկեր ստեղծելով»,- հայտարարել է ՀՕԿ-ը։
ՀՕԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի տեղակալ Քո Բարեթը հավելել է. «Կլիմայի փոփոխությունը և օդի որակը չեն կարող դիտարկվել առանձին-առանձին։ Դրանք պետք է լուծվեն միասին՝ մեր մոլորակը, մեր համայնքները և մեր տնտեսությունները պաշտպանելու համար»։
Թեև ՀՕԿ-ի զեկույցը վերաբերում է 2024 թվականին, կազմակերպությունը նաև նշել է, որ այս տարի Հարավային Եվրոպայում գրանցված ռեկորդային անտառային հրդեհները նպաստել են մայրցամաքում օդի որակի վատթարացմանը։
