Վաղ Երկիրը անպտուղ էր և թշնամական, անմարդաբնակ, մինչև որ մի հսկա նախամոլորակ ամեն ինչ փոխեց։

Գիտնականները կարծում են, որ Երկրի բախումը Մարսի չափսի մարմնի՝ Թեա անունով, հետ տեղի է ունեցել ավելի քան 4 միլիարդ տարի առաջ և կարևոր իրադարձություն է եղել մեր մոլորակի պատմության մեջ։

Նրանց հետազոտությունը հրապարակվել է Science Advances ամսագրում։

Մինչ օրս Թեան հիմնականում կապված է եղել Լուսնի ձևավորման հետ. բախվող մարմինների մասերը ձևավորել են մեր բնական արբանյակը։ Նոր ուսումնասիրությունը ցույց է տվել, որ Թեան Երկիր է բերել ոչ պակաս կարևոր մի բան՝ կենսական նյութեր։ Դրանց թվում են ցնդող տարրեր, ինչպիսիք են ջրածինը և ածխածինը, որոնք կյանքի շինանյութերն են։ Արեգակնային համակարգի ներսում դրանցից քիչ էին. Արեգակին մոտ նյութերը մնում էին գազային վիճակում և չէին կարող նստել մոլորակների վրա։

Քիմիական մոդելների և երկնաքարերի ու երկրային ապարների իզոտոպների ուսումնասիրության միջոցով գիտնականները կարողացել են վերականգնել Երկրի ձևավորման առաջին 15 միլիոն տարիները։

Նրանք պարզեցին, որ հենց Թեայի շնորհիվ է մեր մոլորակը ստացել անհրաժեշտ ծավալի ցնդող նյութեր։ Առանց այս բախման, Երկրի վրա կյանքը կարող էր երբեք չհայտնվել։

Այս հայտնագործությունները ցույց են տալիս, որ տիեզերքում կյանքի առաջացման պայմանները բոլորովին երաշխավորված չեն։ Երկրի նման մոլորակները հազվադեպ են. եթե դրանց վրա չընկնեն ցնդող նյութերի մեծ աղբյուրներ, դրանք մնում են անմարդաբնակ և անպտուղ։
