Ադանայի կոտորածներից փրկված հայի ձեռագիր ողբը նվիրվել է Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարան-ինստիտուտին

Վերջերս Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարան-ինստիտուտն ստացել է արժեքավոր նվիրատվություն ԱՄՆ-ից Հայաստան ացելած Արթինյան ընտանիքից․ այն Ադանայի կոտորածներից (1909 թ․) փրկված Կարապետ Արթինյանի (1879-1925) հեղինակած ձեռագիր ողբն է, որը նրա ժառանգների համընդհանուր որոշման արդյունքում ծոռը՝ Ռոբերտ Արթինյանն է հանձնել ՀՑԹԻ-ին։
Ադանայի կոտորածների ընթացքում Կարապետ Արթինյանը, կորցնելով կնոջն ու երեխային, կարճ ժամանակ անց՝ 1909 թ․ հունիսին, հայատառ թուրքերենով գրում է այս ողբը՝ կոտորածների ժամանակագրական հաջորդականությամբ։ Ողբը (դեստանը) բաղկացած է հիսունյոթ քառատողից, գրված է երրորդ դեմքով։ Դեստանի ժանրը, ունենալով պարսկական ծագում, տարածված էր նաև Օսմանայն կայսրությունում, որը ներկայացնում էր հերոսական գործերը, սիրավեպերը և երբեմն նաև մեծ ողբերգական իրադարձությունները։ Իր աշխարհիկ բնույթի շնորհիվ՝ դեստանը լայնորեն կիրառվել է Օսմանյան կայսրության տարբեր կրոնական համայնքների՝ հայերի, հույների, ասորիների, հրեաների և մուսուլմանների կողմից։
Կարապետ Արթինյանը ծնվել է 1879 թ․ Ադանայում։ Սովորել է Երուսաղեմի Հայոց պատրիարքարանի ճեմարանում։ Համիդյան կոտորածների ժամանակ կորցնելով ծնողներին՝ նա լքում է ճեմարանը։ 1909 թ․ Ադանայի կոտորածներին զոհ են գնում նրա կինը և զավակը։ Չնայած հոգեկան խորը ապրումներին՝ մի քանի տարի անց նա երկրորդ անգամ ամուսնանում է՝ կնության առնելով Ասանտե (կամ Անեթ) անունով մի կնոջ։ Ծոռան՝ Ռոբերտ Արթինյանի փոխանցմամբ՝ կոտորածներից հետո Արթինյանն իր ընտանիքի մնացած անդամների հետ Ադանայից տեղափոխվել է Ալեքսանդրիա, ապա՝ Արգենտինա, որտեղ ապրել են մինչև 1917 թ ․։
ԱՄՆ ներգաղթի փաստաթղթերի համաձայն՝ Չարլզ-Կարապետ Արթինյանը Նյու Յորք է հասել 1917 թ․ հունվարին՝ «Վեստիրիս» նավով։ Հինգ ամիս անց նրան միացել են կինը՝ Ասանտեն, և երեխաները՝ Մարիան ու Ֆրենքը։ Ընտանիքը հաստատվել է Մալդենում (Մասաչուսեթս), որտեղ Արթինյանը 1917–1918 թթ․ աշխատել է Converse Rubber Company-ում՝ որպես կոշկակար։ Մալդենում մեկ տարի բնակվելուց հետո ընտանիքը տեղափոխվել է Դետրոյթ։ Արթինյանի կրած տրավմաները՝ ծնողների ու ընտանիքի սպանությունը և Ադանայի ականատես եղած սարսափները, ծանր հետևանքներ են թողել նրա առողջության վրա։ Նա մշտապես տառապում էր առողջական խնդիրների հետևանքով․ 1925 թ․՝ քառասունհինգ տարեկանում, Չարլզ-Կարապետ Արթինյանը հանկարծամահ եղավ սրտի կաթվածից։
Կարապետ Արթինյանի արժեքավոր ստեղծագործությանը 2023 թ․ անդրադարձել է պատմաբան Պետրոս Տեր-Մաթոսյանը իր գիտական հոդվածում։
