Բեննու աստերոիդը, որի նմուշները 2023 թվականին NASA OSIRIS-REx զոնդով Երկիր են հասցվել, իրական ժամանակի պարկուճ է։ Նոր հետազոտությունը ցույց է տվել, որ այն պարունակում է ամբողջ արեգակնային աշխարհից և նույնիսկ միջաստղային տարածությունից վերցված հնագույն նյութի խառնուրդ։ Գիտնականները Բեննուի մասնիկներում հայտնաբերել են աստղային փոշու հետքեր, որոնք ձևավորվել են Արեգակի ծնունդից առաջ, ինչպես նաև անսովոր իզոտոպային կազմով օրգանական նյութ, որը, հավանաբար, հայտնվել է միջաստղային միջավայրում։ Աշխատանքը հրապարակվել է Nature Astronomy ամսագրում։
Վերլուծությունը հաստատել է, որ «ծնող» Բեննու աստերոիդը պարունակում էր սառույցի առատություն, որը որոշակի պահի հալվել և ռեակցիայի մեջ է մտել հանքանյութերի հետ։ Արդյունքում, կազմը պահպանել է ջրի և պինդ ապարների միջև շփման ընթացքում առաջացած միացությունները համեմատաբար ցածր ջերմաստիճաններում՝ մոտ 25 աստիճան։ Սա նշանակում է, որ կյանքի քիմիայի ծագման համար կարևոր գործընթացները կարող էին տեղի ունենալ հնագույն մարմնի ներսում միլիարդավոր տարիներ։
Բացի այդ, հատիկների մակերեսին տեսանելի են տիեզերական քայքայման հետքեր՝ միկրոսկոպիկ խառնարաններ և հալված ապարի ցայտքեր, որոնք մնացել են միկրոմետեորիտների բախումներից և արեգակնային քամու ազդեցությունից: Այս դիտարկումները ցույց են տալիս, որ աստերոիդի նյութը անընդհատ փոխվում էր ինչպես ներսից, այնպես էլ դրսից։
Գիտնականները նշել են, որ դժվար է համեմատել նման նմուշները Երկիր ընկած երկնաքարերի հետ, քանի որ վերջիններս ենթակա են փոփոխությունների մթնոլորտով անցնելիս: Սա նշանակում է, որ OSIRIS-REx-ի նման հողի ուղղակի վերադարձի առաքելությունները «ամենամաքուր» պատկերացում են տալիս այն մասին, թե ինչպես է ձևավորվել և զարգացել Արեգակնային համակարգը:
