Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին ուղերձով դիմել է ուկրաինացի ժողովրդին Անկախության օրվա կապակցությամբ։ Տեսանյութը հրապարակվել է պետության ղեկավարի մամուլի ծառայության կողմից կիրակի՝ օգոստոսի 24-ին։
Նա նշել է, որ Ուկրաինան պաՈւկրաինան դեռ չի հաղթել, բայց անկասկած չի պարտվի. Զելենսկի
տմության մեջ այլևս երբեք չի ստիպված լինի ենթարկվել այն ամոթին, որը «ռուսները» անվանում են «փոխզիջում»։
«Մեզ անհրաժեշտ է արդար խաղաղություն։ Ինչպիսին կլինի մեր ապագան, մենք ենք որոշում։ Եվ աշխարհը գիտի դա։ Եվ աշխարհը հարգում է դա։ Հարգում է Ուկրաինան։ Ուկրաինան ընկալում է որպես հավասարի», - նշել է պետության ղեկավարը։
Նրա խոսքով՝ սա հենց այն Ուկրաինան է, որը նա պատկերացնում էր Միացյալ Նահանգներում մեկ շաբաթ առաջ։
«Այսօր և՛ ԱՄՆ-ն, և՛ Եվրոպան համաձայն են. Ուկրաինան դեռ չի հաղթել, բայց անկասկած չի պարտվի։ Ուկրաինան նվաճել է իր անկախությունը։ Ուկրաինան զոհ չէ, այն մարտիկ է։ Ուկրաինան չի խնդրում, այլ առաջարկում է դաշինք և գործընկերություն։ Եվրոպայի լավագույն բանակը։ Առաջադեմ պաշտպանական տեխնոլոգիաներ։ Դիմացկունության փորձ։ Մենք ասում ենք. «Մեզ ԵՄ-ն պետք է»։ Այո՛։ Բայց այն մեզնից պակաս մեր կարիք չունի։ Եվ բոլորը գիտակցում են դա։ Եվ այսպես են ճանաչում Ուկրաինան։ Ոչ թե որպես աղքատ ազգական, այլ որպես ուժեղ դաշնակից», - ասել է Զելենսկին։
Նա վստահ է, որ Ուկրաինան կհասնի կայուն, հուսալի և երկարատև խաղաղության։
«Ուկրաինան կստանա այն, քանի որ կստանա անվտանգության երաշխիքներ։ Այնքան ուժեղ, որ աշխարհում ոչ ոք նույնիսկ չմտածի Ուկրաինայի վրա հարձակվելու մասին։ Սա միայն մեր նպատակը չէ, սա հենց այն է, ինչ մենք ուզում ենք և պետք է ժառանգություն թողնենք մեր երեխաներին ու թոռներին՝ ուժեղ Ուկրաինա, հավասար Ուկրաինա, եվրոպական Ուկրաինա, անկախ Ուկրաինա», - վստահեցրել է պետության ղեկավարը։
