ԱՄՆ-ն օգտագործում է անավարտ միջուկային էլեկտրակայանը կանաչ էներգետիկայի համար

ԱՄՆ-ում որոշել են երկրորդ կյանք տալ Ֆիպս-Բենդ անավարտ միջուկային էլեկտրակայանին։ Սակայն այժմ այն կաշխատի «կանաչ էներգետիկայի» ուղղությամբ։ Այս նախագիծը իրականացվում է Թենեսի նահանգում, որտեղ էլ գտնվում է անավարտ միջուկային էլեկտրակայանը։ Highland Materials ներդրումային խումբը պլանավորում է անավարտ միջուկային էլեկտրակայանը վերածել պոլիսիլիցիում արտադրող գործարանի, որն օգտագործվում է արևային վահանակների պատրաստման համար։

Նախագիծը նախատեսում է 56 հեկտար հողատարածք գործարանի կառուցման համար։ Ըստ պլանի՝ միջուկային էլեկտրակայանի հիման վրա ստեղծված գործարանը կարտադրի 16,000 տոննա պոլիսիլիցիում, իսկ հետագայում այդ ցուցանիշը կաճի մինչև 20,000 տոննա։ Նյութի այս ծավալը թույլ կտա արտադրել արևային մարտկոցներ՝ տարեկան 11 գիգավատ ընդհանուր հզորությամբ։

Ընկերությունը կներդնի ալյումինե-սիլիցիումային համաձուլվածքի ստեղծման նորարարական մեթոդ, որը շատ ավելի խնայող է։ Այն խնայում է էներգիայի ռեսուրսները և ավելի քիչ ազդեցություն է ունենում շրջակա միջավայրի վրա։ Պոլիսիլիցիումը կարևոր նյութ է արևային վահանակների ստեղծման համար, և ներկայումս դրա արտադրության առաջատարը Չինաստանն է։

Հետևաբար, Թենեսիում գործարանի ստեղծումը քայլ է դեպի ԱՄՆ-ի էներգետիկ անկախություն և նյութի մատակարարման նոր շղթաների զարգացում։ Highland Materials ընկերությունը ստացել է ավելի քան 255 միլիոն դոլար ԱՄՆ-ի կառավարության կողմից նորարարական էներգետիկ նախագծերին աջակցելու ծրագրից։ Դեռևս հայտնի չէ, թե երբ գործարանը կսկսի իր աշխատանքը։
