Մինչ Հայաստանի գործող իշխանությունները փորձում են տպավորություն ստեղծել, թե դիվանագիտական խոշոր ձեռքբերումներ են գրանցել Վաշինգտոնում, Ադրբեջանը կրկին ապացուցում է, որ որևէ ցանկություն չունի հրաժարվելու իր իսկ նախապայմաններից։ Նախօրեին Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը պնդել էր, թե Հայաստանի Սահմանադրությունը պետք է փոխվի։ «Չեմ կասկածում, որ Հայաստանի Սահմանադրության փոփոխության դեպքում՝ իսկ հայկական կողմն ինքը հայտարարում է նման փոփոխությունների անհրաժեշտության մասին, տարածքային պահանջները Ադրբեջանի նկատմամբ այնտեղից կհանվեն։ Հակառակ դեպքում դա, առաջին հերթին, կլինի անհարգալից վերաբերմունք Միացյալ Նահանգների հանդեպ», - նշել էր Ալիևը։

Թվում էր, թե Ալիևի այս հայտարարությունը մեկանգամա հայտարարություն է՝ ուղղված ներքին լսարանին, բայց և Ադրբեջանի նախագահի հատուկ հանձնարարություններով ներկայացուցիչ Էլչին Ամիրբեկովը երեկ հայտարարել է, թե խաղաղության համաձայնագրի ստորագրման համար հավելյալ քայլեր են անհրաժեշտ, մասնավորապես՝ Հայաստանի Սահմանադրության փոփոխություն։ «Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի միջև խաղաղ համաձայնագրի նախաստորագրման մասին դրույթը հաստատեց, որ փաստաթղթի ստորագրման և վավերացման համար հավելյալ քայլեր են անհրաժեշտ։ Բաքուն ակնկալում է, որ Հայաստանի Սահմանադրությունում փոփոխություններ կկատարվեն՝ Ադրբեջանի նկատմամբ դեռևս գոյություն ունեցող տարածքային պահանջները վերացնելու նպատակով», - նշել է Ամիրբեկովը։

Հերթական անգամ սա փաստում է, որ Ադրբեջանը որևէ կերպ մտադիր չէ հետ կանգնելու իր նախապայմաններից։ Ավելին՝ Վաշինգտոնում դրանց մեծ մասի բավարարումից հետո էլ անգամ մտադիր չէ որևէ փոխզիջում անել։ Իսկ Հայաստանի իշխանությունները գլխահակ կատարում են թուրք-ադրբեջանական տանդեմի բոլոր պահանջները, ըստ էության, ապացուցելով իրենց կոլաբորացիոնիստական բնույթը։
