Ավելի քան 1700 հրշեջներ Պորտուգալիայի տարբեր շրջաններում պայքարում են հրդեհների դեմ։ Մարոկկոն իր հյուսիսային հարևանին ուղարկել է երկու Canadair դեսանտային ինքնաթիռներ, որոնցից Պորտուգալիան չունի։ Այդ մասին տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ վկայակոչելով Euronews-ը։
Պորտուգալիայում մոլեգնում են երեք խոշոր հրդեհներ: Երկրի հյուսիս-արևելքում գտնվող Տրանկոսո շրջանի Ֆրեշես բնակավայրում բռնկված հրդեհը շարունակում է տարածվել։ Առնվազն երկու ակտիվ հրդեհային ճակատներ խոչընդոտում են տեղում արտակարգ ծառայությունների աշխատանքը: Առավոտյան դեպքի վայրում էին 722 փրկարարներ, որոնց օգնում էին 227 ցամաքային տրանսպորտային միջոցներ և վեց ինքնաթիռներ:
Ավելի հարավ՝ Սոբրալ դե Սան Միգել տարածքում հրդեհը հաջողվել է մարել առավոտյան։ Դեպքի վայրում դեռևս աշխատում են 525 հրշեջներ, 174 մեքենաներ և մեկ օդային տրանսպորտային միջոց՝ հրդեհի վերսկսումը կանխելու համար։
Երկուշաբթի օրը տարածաշրջանում հրդեհային տորնադո է նկատվել, որն արդեն տեղի էր ունեցել Մոյմենտա դա Բեյրայում, բայց արդեն մտել էր մարման փուլ։
Օդերևութաբանների կանխատեսումների համաձայն՝ Իսպանիայում և Պորտուգալիայում բարձր ջերմաստիճանը կպահպանվի մինչև առնվազն օգոստոսի 13-ը։ Ջերմաստիճանը կհասնի մինչև 44 աստիճան Ցելսիուսի։
