Վաշինգտոնում Թրամփի, Փաշինյանի և Ալիևի ստորագրությամբ համաձայնագրի թանաքը դեռ չի հասցրել չորանալ, Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը արդեն իսկ վստահ պնդումներ է անում, որ Հայաստանի Սահմանադրությունը փոխվելու է։ Ըստ էության, նույնիսկ եռակողմ այդ համաձայնագրից հետո, որը փաշինյանական իշխանությունը փորձում է ներկայացնել որպես դիվանագիտական խոշոր ձեռքբերում, Ադրբեջանը դույզն-ինչ չի փոխել իր նախապայմանները և պահանջները, նախկինի պես պահանջում է Հայաստանի Սահմանադրության փոփոխություն, ընդ որում, դա այժմ համեմում են նոր սոուսով՝ Դոնալդ Թրամփի ստորագրությամբ։

«Չեմ կասկածում, որ Հայաստանի Սահմանադրության փոփոխության դեպքում՝ իսկ հայկական կողմն ինքը հայտարարում է նման փոփոխությունների անհրաժեշտության մասին, տարածքային պահանջները Ադրբեջանի նկատմամբ այնտեղից կհանվեն։ Հակառակ դեպքում դա, առաջին հերթին, կլինի անհարգալից վերաբերմունք Միացյալ Նահանգների հանդեպ», - նշել է Ադրբեջանի նախագահը՝ հավելելով, «Հայաստանի սահմանադրությունում համապատասխան փոփոխություններ կատարելուց հետո, խաղաղության համաձայնագիրը կարող է ստորագրվել ցանկացած պահի»։

Ավելին, նույնիսկ հանդիպումից անմիջապես հետո Ադրբեջանի պետական լրատվամիջոցները սպառնալիքներ ու նախազգուշացում են հրապարակում ուղղված Հայաստանին. «Հայաստանի ներսում և դրսում ռևանշիստական շրջանակների փորձերը՝ չճանաչելու Ադրբեջանի ինքնիշխանության և տարածքային ամբողջականության վերականգնումը, վճռականորեն մերժվելու են»։

Այս կերպ, մի կողմից Ալիևը իր պահանջներն է սաստկացնում Փաշինյանի դեմ, մյուս կողմից էլ փորձում վերջինիս քարտ-բլանշ տալ նոր ընտրություններում և սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների հանրաքվեի ժամանակ համապատասխան կեղծիքներ իրականացնելու։ Իսկ որ Փաշինյանն անպայման գնալու է նման քայլի, առավել ևս ունենալով թե՛ թուրք-ադրբեջանական տանդեմի և թե՛ Արևմուտքի աջակցությունը, որևէ մեկը չի կասկածում։
