Օգոստոսի 10-ին Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին զանգահարել է Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևին։
Հեռախոսազրույցի ընթացքում Ուկրաինայի նախագահը շնորհավորել է նրան Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի աջակցությամբ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև խաղաղության օրակարգի կապակցությամբ ձեռք բերված հաջողությունների համար և ընդգծել, որ այս հանդիպումը պատմական բնույթ է կրում։ Այս մասին հայտնում է Ադրբեջանի նախագահի մամուլի ծառայությունը։
Ալիևը վստահեցրել է, որ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև ձեռք բերված պայմանավորվածությունները կծառայեն տարածաշրջանում ամուր խաղաղության, կայունության և բարգավաճման ապահովմանը։
Հեռախոսազրույցի ընթացքում կողմերը դատապարտել են Ուկրաինայի տարածքում ադրբեջանական SOCAR ընկերության նավթաբազայի և Ադրբեջանի այլ օբյեկտների, ինչպես նաև դեպի Ուկրաինա ադրբեջանական գազ մատակարարող գազակոմպրեսորային կայանի ուղղությամբ Ռուսաստանի նպատակային ավիահարվածները։
Նրանք վստահություն են հայտնել, որ դա ոչ մի դեպքում չի հանգեցնի Ադրբեջանի և Ուկրաինայի միջև էներգետիկ ոլորտում համագործակցության դադարեցմանը։
