Հայաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարի տեղակալ Վահան Կոստանյանը կարծում է, որ նախօրեին Վաշինգտոնում Հայաստանի վարչաօետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի, ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևի մասնակցությամբ եռակողմ հանդիպման արդյունքներով չափազանց կարևոր զարգացում է տեղի ունեցել Հարավային Կովկասում խաղաղության հաստատման ճանապարհին։
«Կարելի է արձանագրել, որ արտաքին քաղաքական հետագա ուղենիշների առումով Հայաստանը հակամարտության կառավարման փուլից թևակոխում է խաղաղության ինստիտուցիոնալիզացման փուլ, որը, բնականաբար, շարունակելու է շատ մեծ ջանքեր պահանջել մեր արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչությունից, նաև մեր մյուս գործընկերներից։ այս ուղղությամբ աշխատնքները պետք է շարունակվեն։ Առաջնահերթությունների թվում է նաև տարածաշրջանի կոմունիկացիաների ապաշրջափակման գործընթացը, որի համատեքստում արձանագրվեցին 4 կարևորագույն սկզբունքները, որոնք կարմիր գիծ էին Հայաստանի համար․ այն է՝ ինքնիշխանության, տարածքային ամբողջականության, իրավազորության և փոխադարձության սկզբունքներով Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև տրանսպորտային ենթակառուցվածքների ապաշրջափակում»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ նշել է Վահան Կոստանյանը։
Նրա խոսքով՝ սա վերջին տարիներին Հայաստանի Հանրապետության արտսաքին քաղաքականության և խաղաղության օրակարգի ճանապարհին շատ կարևոր հանգրվան էր, և այս ուղղությամբ դեռ ավելին պետք է արվի։
Անդրադառնալով Հայաստան-ԱՄՆ-Ադրբեջան եռակողմ հռչակագրի հնարավոր ազդեցությանը Հայաստան-Թուրքիա կարգավորման գործընթացի վրա՝ Կոստանյանը հիշեցրել է, որ Հայաստանի ու Թուրքիայի միջև երկխոսությունն ընթանում է առանց միջնորդների, սակայն կարելի է հույս հայտնել, որ վաշինգտոնյան հռչակագիրը դրական կանդրադառնա նաև Հայաստան-Թուրքիա հարաբերությունների վրա, որովհետև կնքված հռչակագրով նոր տնտեսական հնարավորություններ են բացվել տարածաշրջանի բոլոր երկրների, այդ թվում՝ Թուրքիայի համար։ «Հույս ունենք, որ մեր թուրք գործընկերները կավելացնեն իրենց ջանքերն այս ուղղությամբ, և դա թույլ կտա նաև արձանագրել դրական առաջընթաց Հայաստան-Թուրքիա հարաբերություններում»,- եզրափակել է Վահան Կոստանյանը:
