ՆԱՏՕ-ի երկրները ցանկանում են թուլացնել Իրանի և Ռուսաստանի միջև համագործակցությունը՝ Զանգեզուրի միջանցքի հսկողությունը վերապահելով ԱՄՆ-ին։ Այս մասին ասել է Իրանի գերագույն  հոգևոր առաջնորդի միջազգային հարցերով խորհրդական Ալի Աքբար Վելաեթին Tasnim գործակալությանը տված բացառիկ հարցազրույցում։

«Բացի Թուրքիայից, որը ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ է, դաշինքի մյուս երկրները նույնպես ցանկանում են ներկա լինել տարածաշրջանում։ ՆԱՏՕ-ն ցանկանում է օձի պես կանգնել Իրանի և Ռուսաստանի միջև, բայց Իրանը դա թույլ չի տա», - վստահեցնում է նա։

«Այս տարածաշրջանային հավասարումը չի վերաբերում միայն Ադրբեջանին և Հայաստանին։ Սա նաև կհանգեցնի աշխարհաքաղաքական տեղաշարժերի Իրանին սահմանակից տարածքներում, ուստի մենք իրավունք ունենք մեր շահերը պաշտպանել առավելագույնս», - ասել է նա։

Վելայաթին ասել է, որ Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը «բազմիցս հայտարարել է, որ եթե Ուկրաինան միանա ՆԱՏՕ-ին, նա միջոցներ կձեռնարկի. մենք թույլ չենք տա ՆԱՏՕ-ին մոտենալ Իրանի հյուսիսային սահմաններին, և այս առումով մենք կարծում ենք, որ կանխարգելումը ավելի լավ է, քան բուժումը»։

Խամենեիի խորհրդականը նշել  է, որ «Իրանի հյուսիսային շրջանների ժողովուրդը կդիմադրի Իրանի հյուսիս-արևմուտքում ցանկացած դավադրության»։

Ըստ Վելայաթիի, ԱՄՆ-ն պնդում է, որ «Զանգեզուրի միջանցքի վարձակալությունը անհրաժեշտ է Կասպից ծովից էներգետիկ ռեսուրսներ տեղափոխելու համար»։ «Կասպից ծովը կիսափակ ջրային տարածք է, որը պատկանում է միայն Կասպից ծովի պետություններին, և նավթի ու գազի տարանցումը դրա միջոցով պահանջում է բոլոր հարևանների համաձայնությունը։ Իրանը և Ռուսաստանը վերջերս համատեղ զորավարժություններ են անցկացրել Կասպից ծովում։ Նրանց ուղերձն այն է, որ եթե դրսից ինչ-որ մեկը փորձի գործել այստեղ, մենք կկանխենք դա»։

Նշենք, որ օգոստոսի 8-ին Վաշինգտոնում տեղի է ունեցել Ադրբեջանի, Հայաստանի և ԱՄՆ առաջնորդների եռակողմ հանդիպումը, որից հետո նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը և ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը՝ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի մասնակցությամբ, ստորագրել են համատեղ հռչակագիր: Հռչակագրի առանձին կետ նվիրված է տրանսպորտային հաղորդակցությունների բացմանը և Ադրբեջանի հիմնական տարածքի և Նախիջևանի Ինքնավար Հանրապետության միջև անխոչընդոտ հաղորդակցության ապահովմանը: Հայաստանի տարածքում կիրականացվի հատուկ նախագիծ՝ «Թրամփի երթուղին միջազգային խաղաղության և բարգավաճման համար», որը նախատեսում է ԱՄՆ աջակցություն այս երթուղու ապահովման գործում:
