Ռեժիսոր Ելենա Արշակյանի «Շնորհավոր, աղջիկ է» գեարվեստական ֆիլմը, որը շուտով կհանձնվի հանդիսատեսի դատին, անդրադառնում է սեռով պայմանավորված արհեստական ընդհատումներին:
Սցենարի հեղինակը Անահիտ Մխիթարյանն է: Գլխավոր հերոսներին մարմնավորում են Անահիտ Մանուկյանը, Նարե Հայկազյանը, Արմեն Էլբակյանը, Էմմա Սապունջյանը, Հարութ Արշակյանը և այլք:

Դերասան Արմեն Էլբակյանն, ով մարմնավորում է ֆիմի առանցքային կերպարներից մեկին, կարծում է, որ ֆիլմում շատ կարևոր հարց է արծարծվում.
«Ոչ միայն ամբողջ աշխարհի, այլ նաև մեր ազգի համար է թեման կարևոր, որովհետև մենք քանակով փոքրաթիվ ենք: Սելեկտիվ աբորտը շատ արդիական թեմա է, պիտի խոսենք ու փորձենք այնպես անել, որ մարդիկ հասկանան, որ իրենք ընդհատում են կյանքեր, որովհետև երեխան, որն արդեն սերմնավորվել է, բայց դեռ չի ծնվել, արդեն մարդ է: Ես նույնիսկ իմ ընկեր բժիշկներից լսել եմ պատմություններ, որ հայրերը հաճախ չեն ուզում, որ աղջիկ երեխա ծնվի, ուզում են առաջնեկը տղա լինի և ընդհատում են հղիությունը»,- Tert.am Life-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց դերասան Արմեն Էլբակյանն ու հույս հայտնեց, որ ֆիլմի կարևոր ուղերձը կհասնի մարդկանց:
Ֆիլմում նկարահանվելու առաջարկը սիրով է ընդունել նաև դերասանուհի Էմմա Սապունջյանը:
«Այս ֆիլմում նկարվելն ինձ համար մեծ պատիվ էր: Մարմնավորելու եմ գլխավոր հերոսուհու ընկերուհուն, ով ամեն կերպ փորձում է հերոսուհուն սխալ քայլից հետ պահել: Հույս ունեմ, որ բոլոր այն մարդիկ, ովքեր հիմա գտնվում են նման իրավիճակում, մտածում են՝ արդյոք պետք է աղջիկ լույս աշխարհ բերել, ֆիլմը կազդի իրենց հոգեբանության վրա, կհասկանան, որ կարևորը ոչ թե սեռն է, այլ առողջ երեխա լույս աշխարհ բերելը»,- Tert.am Life-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց դերասանուհի էմմա Սապունջյանը:
Ավելի վաղ, մեզ հետ զրույցում, Ելենա Արշակյանը նշել էր, որ Ֆիլմի պրեմիերան նախնական պլաններով նախատեսված է սեպտեմբերի 5-ին, որից հետո ֆիլմը կապրի իր առանձին կյանքով:
«Եթե ֆիլմի օգնությամբ կարողանանք գոնե մի փոքրիկի կյանք փրկել, ես կկարծեմ, որ մեր առջև դրված խնդիրը լուծել ենք»,- ընդգծել էր ռեժիսորը:
