Իսրայելի պաշտպանության նախարար Իսրայել Կացը հայտարարել է, որ երկիրը Գազայի հատվածի անվտանգության նկատմամբ պետք է պահպանի լիակատար վերահսկողությունը նույնիսկ պատերազմի ավարտից հետո, հաղորդում է Times of Israel-ը։
Ըստ Կացի՝ պաղեստինյան «ՀԱՄԱՍ» խմբավորումը չի թելադրելու այս տարածքի ապագան։
«Նպատակը ՀԱՄԱՍ-ին հաղթելն է, որի ռազմական և քաղաքացիական թևերը չեն որոշելու, թե ինչ է կատարվում Գազայում,- նշել է Կացը Թել Հաշոմերի զորակոչի կենտրոն այցելության ժամանակ, որտեղ նա հանդիպել է Իսրայելի պաշտպանության բանակի հրետանային կորպուսի և հակաօդային պաշտպանության համակարգի նորակոչիկների հետ։ -Մեզ անհրաժեշտ է Իսրայելի պաշտպանության բանակը Գազայում և շրջակայքում՝ պաշտպանելու այն համայնքները, որոնք կարող են կրկին հարձակման ենթարկվել, մեր զինվորներին պաշտպանելու և զենքի մաքսանենգությունն ու վերազինումը կանխելու համար»։
Անդրադառնալով պատերազմից հետո իրականացվող ծրագրերի թեմային՝ Կացը շեշտել է. «Որպեսզի ՀԱՄԱՍ-ն այլևս արդյունավետ չլինի, Իսրայելի պաշտպանության բանակը պետք է կարողանա, ինչպես Արևմտյան ափում, անվտանգ գործել Գազայի ցանկացած վայրում։ Մենք ինքներս պետք է պատասխանատվություն կրենք Գազայի անվտանգության համար»։
Իսրայելի պաշտպանության նախարարը նշել է, որ Իսրայելի պաշտպանության բանակի ներկայիս գործողությունները շարունակում են կենտրոնացած մնալ մնացած պատանդներին փրկելու ջանքերի վրա։
«Ցանկացած մանևր, որը մենք պետք է անենք՝ նույնիսկ գործարք նման թշնամիների հետ՝ ևս 10 մարդու փրկելու համար, նույնիսկ նրանց, ովքեր այլևս կենդանի չեն, մենք դա կանենք՝ պահպանելով անվտանգությունը», -նշել է նա։
