Արեւելքի Ասորական Եկեղեցու կաթողիկոսի գրասենյակը հայտարարությամբ է հանդես եկել՝ ի զորակցություն Հայ Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցու եւ Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոս Գարեգին Երկրորդի:

«Արեւելքի Ասորական Եկեղեցին խորը մտահոգությամբ է հետեւել վերջին շաբաթների իրադարձություններին Հայաստանում, որոնք առնչվում են Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի բարձրագույն եկեղեցական իշխանությունների դեմ ուղղված համակարգված հակաքարոզչությանն ու հակազդեցություններին՝ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության քաղաքական իշխանությունների եւ իրավապահ մարմինների կողմից:

Որպես քույր արեւելյան եկեղեցի՝ Ասորական Եկեղեցին կիսում է Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու հոգեւորականության, եպիսկոպոսության եւ հավատացյալ ժողովրդի տառապանքն՝ այս վերջին ցավալի զարգացումների առնչությամբ:

Այս անհարիր գործողությունները ներառել են Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու եպիսկոպոսների եւ հոգեւորականների անհիմն կալանավորումները, ինչպես նաեւ զազրելի վիրավորանքների արշավը՝ մեր եղբայր, Նորին Սրբություն Գարեգին Բ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսի դեմ: Եկեղեցիների սրբազան տարածքների ոտնահարումներն ու Էջմիածնի կաթողիկոսական աթոռի եւ բարձրաստիճան հոգեւորականների բարոյական հեղինակության ու վարկանիշի դեմ ուղղված վարկաբեկիչ արշավը քաղաքական իշխանությունների կողմից անկասկած դատապարտելի արարքներ են, որոնք ոտնահարում են ինչպես մարդկային, այնպես էլ բարոյական արժանապատվությունը, եւ լիովին անտեսում Եկեղեցու եւ Պետության տարանջատման սկզբունքը ու կրոնական հավատքի ազատ արտահայտումը:

Հետեւաբար, Արեւելքի Ասորական Եկեղեցու կաթողիկոս–պատրիարք Նորին Սրբություն Մար Ավա Երրորդը, Սուրբ Սինոդի անունից, արտահայտում է մեր եղբայրական ու քրիստոնեական զորակցությունը՝ Նորին Սրբություն Կաթողիկոս Գարեգին Երկրորդին եւ իր բարոյական աջակցությունը հայտնում՝ Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնին:

Բացի այդ, մենք ամբողջությամբ սատարում ենք 2025 թվականի հուլիսի 8-ին, Եկեղեցիների Համաշխարհային խորհրդի Գլխավոր քարտուղարի կողմից հրապարակված հայտարարությանը, ինչպես նաեւ բազմաթիվ այլ հայտարարություններին, որոնք հնչեցրել են տարբեր Եկեղեցիների Հայրապետներ ու Կաթողիկոսներ՝ իրենց աջակցությունն արտահայտելով Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցուն այս տխուր հարցում:

Մենք աղոթում ենք, որ այս ցավալի պահը՝ հատկապես Սուրբ Էջմիածնում, շուտով լուծում ստանա իմաստությամբ ու խաղաղ ճանապարհով Հայաստանի Հանրապետության պետական պաշտոնյաների կողմից, որպեսզի Եկեղեցին կարողանա անխափան շարունակել իր առաքելությունը՝ քարոզելու մեր Տեր եւ Փրկիչ Հիսուս Քրիստոսի Ավետարանը:

Մենք եւս աղոթում ենք, որպեսզի եղբայրության եւ հարգանքի ոգին կրկին տիրի Հայաստանի հասարակության բոլոր ոլորտներում», - ասված է հայտարարության մեջ:
