Մայիսից ի վեր ԱՄՆ ներգաղթի և մաքսային ծառայության (ICE) գործակալներ են նկատվել Հոլիվուդի անօթևանների ապաստարանի մոտ, որտեղ սպաները ուղեկցում են պատերազմից տուժած երկրների բնակիչներին աշխատանքի, գործերի և դատարան, հաղորդում է NBC News-ը։
18-ից 24 տարեկան մարդկանց սպասարկող ապաստարանի աշխատակիցն ասել է, որ տեսել է, թե ինչպես են ICE գործակալները ձեռնաշղթաներով կապել երկու վենեսուելացիների և ձերբակալել նրանց աշխատանքից ապաստարան վերադառնալուց հետո։
Մոտ վեց ներգաղթային սպաներ մոտեցել են բնակիչներին և «անմիջապես ձեռքերը դրել մեջքի ետևում», - ասել է նա։ Անօթևանների ապաստարանները, կարծես, Դոնալդ Թրամփի վարչակազմի կողմից իրականացվող ներգաղթային հետապնդման մեկ այլ թիրախ են, որի արդյունքում Լոս Անջելեսի տարածքում մոտ 3000 մարդ է ձերբակալվել։
Հոլիվուդյան ապաստարանից բացի, մատակարարները հայտնել են, որ վերահսկում են ներգաղթային օրենսդրության կիրառումը Հյուսիսային Հոլիվուդի և Սան Դիեգոյի ապաստարաններում, ըստ տեղական լրատվամիջոցների հաղորդագրությունների։
Ներգաղթի պաշտոնյաները չեն պատասխանել այն էլեկտրոնային նամակին, որը հարցրել էր, թե արդյոք անօթևանների ապաստարաններում խուզարկություններ են իրականացվում իրավապահ մարմինների ջանքերի շրջանակներում։
Ավելի քան 72,300 անօթևան մարդկանցով Լոս Անջելեսի շրջանը ազգային անօթևանության ճգնաժամի էպիկենտրոնն է։ Նրանցից քանիսն են ներգաղթյալներ, անհայտ է, քանի որ դաշնային օրենքով պարտադիր տարեկան հաշվարկը չի ներառում քաղաքացիության հարցերը։
