Հայաստանի վարչապետ Փաշինյանի կոչը՝ հավաքվել Մայր Աթոռի մոտ՝ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոս Գարեգին Բ-ի կեցավայրը փաստացի գրավելու նպատակով, արժեզրկում է Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցին և ռազմավարական սխալ կարող է լինել: Այդ մասին Ռուսաստանի ՏԱՍՍ ինֆորմացիոն գործակալությանը տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել է Ռուսաստանի հայերի միության նախագահ Արա Աբրահամյանը:

«Դա կլինի Փաշին յանի ռազմավարական սխալը: Նա ասում է, թե հավատացյալ է: Սակայն, եթե իրապես այդպիսին է, ապա երբեք իրեն և ուրիշներին թույլ չէր տա արժեզրկել եկեղեցին: Եկեղեցու հոգևորականները ձեռնադրվել են Կաթողիկոսի կողմից, նրանք մկրտել են հայերին՝ ամբողջ աշխարհում՝ միլիոնավոր մարդկանց: Իսկ նրանց մասին ասում են, թե նրանք օրենքից դուրս են»,- ասել է Աբրահամյանը՝ մեկնաբանելով Փաշինյանի վերջերս արած կոչը՝ պատրաստվել «հոգևոր հավաքի», Էջմիածնի հրապարակում:

Ռուսաստանի հայերի միության նախագահը նշել է, որ հավատացյալ և իր ժողովրդին սիրող մարդը «երբեք իրեն թույլ չէր տա այդպես լուծել հարցերը»: Աբրահամյանի կարծիքով Փաշինյանն այդ կերպ մանիպուլացնում է հասարակությանը՝ փորձելով բախման տանել տարբեր կրոնական հայացքներ ունեցող մարդկանց, ինչը աղետալի կլինի: «Եկեղեցին անկախ ինստիտուտ է»,- ընդգծել է Աբրահամյանը: 

Նա նաև նշել է, որ՝ մատնանշելով միայն ՀԱԵ խնդիրները, որոնք կարող են ծագել ամեն տեղ, Փաշինյանը չի խոսում այն մասին, թե որքան մեծ գործ է արել Գարեգին Բ-ն եկեղեցու համար: «Վերջին հարյուրամյակում ոչ ոք այդքան չի արել: Այստեղ հարցը անձերը չեն, այլ եկեղեցին, հավատքը: Ես եկեղեցու կողմնակիցն եմ, Ես հավատացյալ եմ, ինքս տասնյակ եկեղեցիներ եմ կառուցել ամբողջ աշխարհում՝ այդ թվում նաև ուղղափառ տաճարը՝ Երևանում»,-ավելացրել է Արա Աբրահամյանը:
