Միացյալ Թագավորության և Իռլանդիայի Հանրապետության Արևելյան Ուղղափառ Եկեղեցիների Խորհուրդը հայտարարություն է տարածել, որտեղ ասվում է․

«Մենք՝ որպես Միացյալ Թագավորությունում Արևելյան Ուղղափառ Եկեղեցիների Խորհուրդ, խորապես մտահոգված ենք Հայաստանում վերջին զարգացումներով, հատկապես հունիսի 27-ին Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածին ոստիկանության ներխուժման և Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու բարձրաստիճան հոգևորականների կալանավորման կապակցությամբ։ Ուժի կիրառումը սրբավայրում և բարձրագույն հոգևորականների դեմ ուղղված գործողությունները լուրջ մտահոգություն են հարուցում՝ կապված կրոնի ազատության և պետական իշխանության ու կրոնական կյանքի միջև հստակ սահմանների պաշտպանության հետ։

Նման գործողությունները առավել ևս, երբ ուղեկցվում են պառակտում և անվստահություն սերմանող հանրային հռետորաբանությամբ, վտանգում են ժողովրդավարական արժեքները, օրենքի գերակայության գաղափարը, ինչպես նաև արժանապատվության և փոխադարձ հարգանքի սկզբունքները, որոնք խաղաղ, համերաշխ և համընդգրկուն հասարակության հիմնասյուներն են։
Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցին, որն ամենահին քրիստոնեական եկեղեցիներից է, ոչ միայն հայ ժողովրդի հոգևոր կյանքի առանցքն է, այլև ազգի պատմական և մշակութային ինքնության պահապանը։

Դարերով Եկեղեցին եղել է աշխարհասփյուռ հայ ժողովրդի միասնության, բարոյական առաջնորդության և տոկունության աղբյուր։

Հայոց Եկեղեցին քրիստոնեական մեծ ընտանիքում բարձր հարգանք է վայելում, այն ունի ամուր հարաբերություներ էկումենիկ շարժման հետ։ Իր անսասան աստվածաբանական և հովվական վկայությամբ Հայ Եկեղեցին նպաստել է միջեկեղեցական երկխոսության խորացմանը, համերաշխության հաստատմանը և մարդկային արժանապատվության պաշտպանությանը։ Այս ոգով կոչ ենք անում հանդարտության, փոխըմբռնման և երկխոսությանը՝ իբրև ազգային վերածննդի և ապաքինման ճանապարհի։

Հարգանքով կոչ ենք անում՝ — Որպեսզի Հայաստանի Հանրապետության կառավարությունը հավատարիմ մնա իր սահմանադրական և միջազգային պարտավորություններին՝ ապահովելու կրոնի և դավանանքի ազատությունը և ձեռնպահ մնա այնպիսի գործողություններից, որոնք կարող են վտանգել կրոնական հաստատությունների անկախությունը ու ամբողջականությունը։ — Որպեսզի դադարեցվի Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու ներգրավումը քաղաքական գործընթացներում, իսկ բոլոր կալանավորված հոգևորականները կամ ազատ արձակվեն, կամ ենթարկվեն արդար և անաչառ դատավարության՝ համաձայն արդարադատության և օրինական ընթացակարգի սկզբունքների։ Այս զգայուն ժամանակահատվածում մենք վերահաստատում ենք մեր եղբայրական զորակցությունը Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոս և Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ-ի հետ։ Մենք աղոթում ենք, որ տիրեն իմաստությունն ու զսպվածությունը, և բոլոր կողմերը առաջնորդվեն արդարության, ազգային միասնության և Հայաստանի կյանքում Եկեղեցու սրբազան դերի գիտակցությամբ»։
