The Guardian-ը հայտնում է, որ «գանգստեր տատիկին» դատապարտել են Մեծ Բրիտանիա 80 միլիոն ֆունտ ստերլինգ արժողությամբ մեկ տոննա կոկաին ներմուծելու մեղադրանքով։
Բրիտանական դատարանը երկարատև ազատազրկման է դատապարտել 65-ամյա Դեբորա Մեյսոնին, որը հայտնի է որպես «գանգստեր տատիկ» և «մեղուների թագուհի», որը նաև ղեկավարել է ընտանեկան հանցավոր խմբավորումը։
Հանցավոր ցանցում Մեյսոնի բարեկամներից և ծանոթներից ներգրավված են եղել առնվազն 10 մարդ։ 2023 թվականի ապրիլից մինչև նոյեմբեր ընկած ժամանակահատվածում այս խումբը մոտ մեկ տոննա կոկաին է տարածել Լոնդոնում, Բրեդֆորդում, Լեսթերում, Բիրմինգհեմում, Բրիսթոլում և Քարդիֆում։
Տարեց կինը անձամբ է վերահսկել առաքումները և կապ է պահպանել մատակարարի հետ։ Հայտնի է, որ նա տարեկան ստացել է ավելի քան 50,000 ֆունտ ստեռլինգ պետական նպաստ։
Ոստիկանությունը կարողացել է բացահայտել հանցավոր խմբի գործունեությունը՝ հետախուզության և հեռախոսային զրույցների վերլուծության շնորհիվ։ Վերջում Մեյսոնը դատապարտվել է 20 տարվա ազատազրկման, իսկ մյուս մեղադրյալները, այդ թվում՝ նրա դուստրը, որը որոշ ժամանակ ղեկավարել էր հանցավոր խումբը մոր փոխարեն ստացել է 10-ից 15 տարվա ազատազրկման դատավճիռ։
