Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը հայտարարել է, թե Հայաստանը քաղաքական մեկուսացման ռիսկի է դիմում, եթե չբացի այսպես կոչված ՝Զանգեզուրի միջանցքը» (Սյունիքի մարզով անցնող արտատարածքային միջանցք - խմբ.):
«Եթե Երևանը շարունակի փակել Զանգեզուրի միջանցքը, նա ռիսկի է դիմում հայտնվել ոչ միայն տրանսպորտային, այլև քաղաքական մեկուսացման մեջ», - ասել է Ալիևը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում կայացած մեդիա ֆորումի ժամանակ, հաղորդում են ադրբեջանական լրատվամիջոցները:
Ինչպես նշել է Ալիևը, հաջորդ տարվա գարնանը Ադրբեջանը կավարտի երկաթուղու իր հատվածի շինարարությունը՝ այսպես կոչված «միջանցքը» գործարկելու համար:
Միևնույն ժամանակ, ըստ նրա, հայկական կողմից հինգ տարի աշխատանք չի իրականացվել: Նրա կարծիքով, Հայաստանի տարանցիկ երկիր դառնալու հնարավորությունները «հակված են զրոյի»:
Միևնույն ժամանակ, Ալիևը հայտարարել է, թե Ադրբեջանի տարածքում այսպես կոչված «Զանգեզուրի միջանցքի» շրջանակներում օտարերկրյա օպերատոր կամ որևէ այլ արտաքին վերահսկողություն չի լինի: Նա ընդգծել է, որ «անհրաժեշտ է անարգել մուտք Ադրբեջանի մի մասից մյուսը»:
