Մենք ողջունում ենք ՀՀ արտաքին հարաբերությունների նորմալացումը Թուրքիայի և Ադրբեջանի հետ: Այս մասին Հանրային հեռուստաընկերության եթերում հայտարարել է ՀՀ-ում Իրանի դեսպան Մեհդի Սոբհանին։
«Դուք հարևաններ եք, և հարևանները պետք է խաղաղ ապրեն։ Իսկ ինչ վերաբերում է ապաշրջափակմանը, ապա ձեզ հայտնի է մեր դիրքորոշումը․ մենք դեմ չենք ապաշրջափակմանը, սակայն դա պետք է տեղի ունենա ազգային և տարածքային ամբողջականության պահպանման շրջանակում, և տարածաշրջանի երկրները պետք է օգտվեն դրանից»,-նշել է նա։
Սոբհանին անդրադառնալով Հայաստանի հարաբերություններին այլ երկրների հետ ասել է․ «ՀՀ իշխանությունները հավաստիացրել են իրանական կողմին, որ այլ երկրների, այդ թվում՝ եվրոպական երկրների հետ համագործակցության զարգացումը տեղի չի ունենում ի վնաս Երևանի և Թեհրանի հարաբերությունների։ Թեհրանում վստահում են հայ բարեկամներին»։
Սոբհանին նշել է, որ Հայաստանի իշխանությունները պատերազմի օրերին դատապարտել են անօրինական ագրեսիան․ «Մենք շնորհակալություն ենք հայտնում և բարձր ենք գնահատում ՀՀ կառավարության այս վճռական որոշման համար, ինչպես նաև շնորհակալություն ենք հայտնում հայերին և բարձր ենք գնահատում նրանց ցուցաբերած համերաշխությունն ու աջակցությունը՝ Իրանի համար այս զգայուն շրջանում։ Դրանով ցույց տվեցին որ ՀՀ կառավարությունը և ժողովուրդը՝ և’ ուրախության, և’ տխրության օրերին Իրանի կառավարության և ժողովրդի կողքին են»։
