Եվրամիությունը կակտիվացնի ԱՄՆ 30-տոկոսանոց մաքսատուրքերին ի պատասխան հակաքայլերի նախապատրաստումը, հայտարարել է Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Էմանուել Մակրոնը։
Ըստ նրա, Ֆրանսիան և Եվրահանձնաժողովի նախագահ Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լայենը «խորապես դատապարտում են օգոստոսի 1-ից ԵՄ-ից ԱՄՆ արտահանման դիմաց 30-տոկոսանոց հորիզոնական մաքսատուրքեր սահմանելու մասին հայտարարությունը»։
«Այս հայտարարությանը նախորդել են Եվրահանձնաժողովի և Միացյալ Նահանգների միջև շաբաթներ տևած ակտիվ բանակցությունները, որոնց հիմքում ընկած է եղել բարի կամքի ոգով արված հիմնավոր առաջարկը։ Եվրոպական միասնության պայմաններում Հանձնաժողովը, ինչպես երբեք, պետք է վերահաստատի Միության վճռականությունը՝ հաստատակամորեն պաշտպանելու եվրոպական շահերը։
Մասնավորապես, դա ենթադրում է վստահելի հակաքայլերի նախապատրաստման արագացում՝ գործի դնելով իր տրամադրության տակ եղած բոլոր գործիքները, ներառյալ հարկադրանքին հակազդելը, եթե մինչև օգոստոսի 1-ը համաձայնություն ձեռք չբերվի։ Ելնելով սրանից՝ Ֆրանսիան լիովին սատարում է Եվրահանձնաժողովին ներկայումս ակտիվացող բանակցություններում՝ նպատակ ունենալով մինչև օգոստոսի 1-ը հասնել փոխընդունելի համաձայնության, որն արտացոլում է այն հարգանքը, որը Եվրամիության և Միացյալ Նահանգների նման առևտրային գործընկերները պետք է ցուցաբերեն միմյանց նկատմամբ՝ ունենալով ընդհանուր շահեր և ինտեգրված արժեշղթաներ»,- գրել է Մակրոնը X սոցիալական ցանցում։
Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ նախագահը հայտարարել էր Եվրամիությունից ներմուծման դիմաց 30-տոկոսանոց մաքսատուրքեր սահմանելու մասին։
Եվրահանձնաժողովի ղեկավար Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լայենը պատասխանել է, որ միությունը պատասխան միջոցներ կձեռնարկի։
