Երեկ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հայտարարել է, որ ազատագրելու է Վեհարանն Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոս Գարեգին 2-րդից և որոշ այլ հոգևորականներից։ Ըստ Փաշինյանի, Կաթողիկոսը, Շիրակի թեմի առաջնորդ Միքայել արքեպիսկոպոս Աջապահյանն ու Բագրատ Սրբազանը, որոնց բոլորին Փաշինյանն անվանում է իրենց աշխարհիկ անուններով՝ Կտրիճ, Գևորգ, Վազգեն, ու որոշ այլ հոգևորականներ կապ չունեն Հիսուս Քրիստոսի ու նրա վարդապետության հետ։ «Հիսուս Քրիստոսի տունը, Միածնի իջման վայրը զավթված է հակաքրիստոս, շնաբարո, ապազգային, ապապետական մի խմբակի կողմից և պետք է ազատագրվի։ Ես առաջնորդելու եմ այդ ազատագրումը»,- գրել էր Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը։

Ու մինչ հասարակությունը փորձում է գուշակել, աղանդավո՞ր են արդյոք Փաշինյանն ու նրա թիմակիցները, գործող իշխանությունները քննչական խմբեր են ստեղծում Վեհարանը գրոհելու և քննչական գործողություններ կատարելու համար։ Ըստ մամուլի արդեն այսօր առավոտվանից պետք է մոբիլիզացվի Երևանի և մարզերի քննչական ռեսուրսը՝ 100-ից ավելի քննիչներ։ Թեպետ Քննչական կոմիտեի խոսնակը հերքել է Մայր Աթոռում քննչական գործողություններ նախատեսալու վերաբերյալ մամուլում տարածվող տեղեկությունները, փաստն այն է, որ Փաշինյանն այլևս ոչնչի առջև կանգ չի առնելու, ընդհուպ Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու կողմից բանադրվելու և նզովվելու սպառնալիքը ոչ գործող իշխանությունների, ոչ էլ նրանց կամակատարը դարձած իրավապահների համար արժեք չեն ներկայացնում, այդ մարդիկ հատել են բոլոր հնարավոր կարմիր գծերը։

Եվ այժմ հերթը ժողովրդինն է ազատվելու Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու թիվ մեկ թշնամին դարձած Նիկոլ Փաշինյանից։
