Շվեյցարիայի խորհրդարանի պատգամավորներ Էրիխ Ֆոնտոբելի(Դաշնային Դեմոկրատական Միություն) և Լուկաս Ռայմանի (Շվեյցարական Ժողովրդական Կուսակցություն), «Միջազգային ՔրիստոնեականՀամերաշխություն» կազմակերպության նախագահ դոկտոր Ջոն Այբների, ինչպես նաև Հայաստանի նախկին արտգործնախարար Վարդան Օսկանյանից, այս շաբաթ այցելում է Վաշինգտոն՝ ներկայացնելու Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի վերաբերյալ Շվեյցարական Խաղաղության Նախաձեռնությունը և խթանելուԱՄՆ-ի ավելի ակտիվ ներգրավվածությունը՝ արդարության և Հարավային Կովկասում երկարաժամկետ կայունության հաստատման գործում։ Այս մասին հայտնել է ՀՀ նախկին ԱԳ նախարար Վարդան Օսկանյանը:
«2025 թ. մարտին Շվեյցարիայի խորհրդարանը պատմական բանաձև ընդունեց, որով պարտավորեցրեց Դաշնային Խորհրդին կազմակերպել միջազգայինխաղաղության համաժողով։ Համաժողովի նպատակն է միջազգային վերահսկողությամբ ուղիղ երկխոսության նախաձեռնում Ադրբեջանիիշխանությունների և Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի տեղահանված հայ բնակչության ներկայացուցիչների միջև՝ ուղղված կամավոր, հավաքական ևարժանապատիվ վերադարձի շուրջ բանակցություններին։
Հուլիսի 7-ի, երկուշաբթի առավոտյան, պատվիրակությունն այցելել է ԱՄՆ Պետդեպարտամենտ և հանդիպել պետքարտուղարի տեղակալների օգնականներ Ջեյք ՄաքԳիի և Մոնիկա Ագեր Յակոբսենի հետ։ Քննարկումների առանցքում եղել են Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի տեղահանված հայերի իրավունքները, ինչպես նաև Հարավային Կովկասում և ավելի լայն տարածաշրջանում ընթացող զարգացումները։
Պատվիրակությունը Վաշինգտոնում շարունակելու է հանդիպումները Կոնգրեսի անդամների, մարդու իրավունքների կազմակերպությունների ևվերլուծական կենտրոնների հետ՝ նպատակ ունենալով ապահովել աջակցություն Շվեյցարական նախաձեռնությանը և պահպանել տեղահանվածբնակչության շարունակվող ճգնաժամը միջազգային օրակարգում»,- նշել է նա:
