ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփն իր Truth Social էջում հայտարարել է, որ Տեխաս նահանգի Քեր շրջանում արտակարգ դրություն է հայտարարել։
Թրամփի խոսքով՝ այս միջոցառումը թույլ կտա անհապաղ անհրաժեշտ ռեսուրսները հատկացնել ջրհեղեղից առավել տուժած տարածքին։ Նա նշել է, որ շատ ամերիկացիներ չեն կարողացել փրկվել տարերքի մոլեգնության պատճառով, իսկ մյուսները անհետ կորել են, սակայն արտակարգ ծառայություններին հաջողվել է փրկել ավելի քան 850 կյանք։
Թարմփը հավելել է, որ իր վարչակազմը շարունակում է համագործակցել նահանգային և տեղական իշխանությունների հետ։
Հիշեցնենք, որ այս շաբաթ կենտրոնական Տեխասում տեղի են ունեցել խոշոր ջրհեղեղներ։ Գուադալուպե գետը սկսել է կտրուկ բարձրանալ և հասել է պատմության մեջ երկրորդ ամենաբարձր մակարդակին։ Նախօրեին տուժած բնակավայրեր է ժամանել ԱՄՆ ներքին անվտանգության նախարար Քրիստի Նոեմը։
Երկրի Ազգային օդերևութաբանական ծառայությունը արտակարգ դրություն է հայտարարել Քեր շրջանի մի քանի քաղաքներում՝ շարունակվող աղետի պատճառով։ Ջրհեղեղի սպառնալիքը մնում է տարածաշրջանի ավելի քան 500 հազար բնակիչների համար։
