Պոլսի հայոց պատրիարք Սահակ Մաշալյանը ԱՄՆ կատարած այցն ավարտելուց հետո Ստամբուլում հանդես է եկել մամուլի ասուլիսով։ Այս մասին գրում է Factor.am-ը, նշելով, որ Agos-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ ասուլիսի հիմնական օրակարգային հարցերն են եղել պատրիարքի ԱՄՆ այցը, պատրիարքարանի փակումը ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի Ստամբուլ կատարած այցի ընթացքում, ինչպես նաև այդ հարցի վերաբերյալ Թուրքիայի հայ համայնքում արձագանքները։
ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի՝ Ստամբուլ այցի ժամանակ տեղի հայ համայնքի հետ հանդիպմանը հայոց պատրիարքարանը հոգևոր մասնակցություն չէր ունեցել, իսկ Պատրիարքարանի շենքն այդ օրը փակ էր։ Պատրիարք Սահակ Մաշալյանը նշել է, որ Հայաստանն արարողակարգային սխալ է թույլ տվել, և որ վարչապետ Փաշինյանի՝ Պոլսո Հայոց պատրիարքարան այցելելու խնդրանքը գրավոր չի փոխանցվել։ «Վարչապետ Փաշինյանի Ստամբուլ կատարած այցի հետ կապված շփոթմունք կար։ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը հաստատություն է, բայց Թուրքիայի հայոց պատրիարքարանը նույնպես հաստատություն է։
ՀՀ-ն ունի 35 տարվա պատմություն։ Սակայն Թուրքիայի հայոց պատրիարքարանն ունի ավելի քան 500 տարվա պատմություն։ Փաշինյանի Ստամբուլի հայ համայնք կատարած այցի համար կա արարողակարգ։ Մենք նախկինում պատրիարքարանում հյուրընկալել էինք Հայաստանի առաջին նախագահ Լևոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանին։ Սակայն այս վերջին այցի վերաբերյալ պաշտոնական գրություն չի եղել։ Սևծովյան տնտեսական համագործակցության կազմակերպությունում Հայաստանի մշտական ներկայացուցիչ Նաիրի Պետրոսյանը հայտնել է, որ վարչապետ Փաշինյանը կգա Ստամբուլ, բայց չի այցելի պատրիարքարան, այլ կգա Գումգափըիի Աստվածածին պատրիարքական եկեղեցի և մոմ կվառի»,- ասել է պատրիարք Մաշալյանը։
