Եվրամիությունը պատրաստ է Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ առևտրային համաձայնագիր կնքել, որի շուրջ ներկայումս բանակցություններ է վարում Վաշինգտոնում ԵՄ առևտրի և տնտեսական անվտանգության հարցերով հանձնակատար Մարոշ Շեֆչովիչը։ Նպատակն է սկզբունքային համաձայնության հասնել, որը նման է բրիտանական համաձայնագրին, որի մանրամասները կհստակեցվեն ավելի ուշ։
Այս մասին հայտարարել է Եվրահանձնաժողովի նախագահ Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լեյենը Դանիայի վարչապետ Մետտե Ֆրեդերիկսենի հետ Օրհուսում համատեղ մամուլի ասուլիսում, որը հաջորդ վեց ամիսների ընթացքում կղեկավարի ԵՄ-ն։
«Ինչպես գիտեք, Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ բանակցությունները շարունակվում են։ Հանձնակատար Շեֆչովիչն այսօր Վաշինգտոնում է։ Ես ուզում եմ ասել, որ մենք պատրաստ ենք համաձայնագրի։ Մենք ցանկանում ենք լուծում գտնել բանակցությունների միջոցով», - ասել է Եվրահանձնաժողովի ղեկավարը։
Միևնույն ժամանակ, նա նշել է, որ ԵՄ-ն պատրաստ է այն փաստին, որ կողմերը կարող են համաձայնության չհասնել։ «Այլ կերպ ասած, բոլոր գործիքները պատրաստ են օգտագործման», - ասել է ֆոն դեր Լեյենը։
ԱՄՆ-ի հետ համաձայնագիրը շատ կարևոր է ԵՄ-ի համար, ընդգծել է ֆոն դեր Լեյենը: Խոսքը 1.5 տրիլիոն եվրոյի առևտրային շրջանառության մասին է՝ ծավալով շատ մեծ և բովանդակությամբ բարդ։ Նրա խոսքով՝ Եվրոպան շարունակում է քննարկումները մյուս գործընկերների հետ։ «Ահա թե ինչու մենք ցանկանում ենք այս նախագահության ընթացքում տեսնել արդյունքներ», - ասել է նա։
