Եվրամիության դիվանագիտության ղեկավար Կայա Կալասի երեկվա այցը Հայաստան, Արարատ Միրզոյանի հետ հայտարարությունները հերթական անգամ նպատակ ունեին շեղելու հայ հանրությանը, նաև տպավորություն ստեղծելու, թե իբր Եվրամիությունը խորապես մտահոգված է Հայաստանի անվտանգության և պաշտպանության հարցերով։ Մամուլի ասուլիսում արտգործնախարար Արարատ Միրզոյանը հայտարարել է, թե համատեղ տրվել է Հայաստան-Եվրամիություն անվտանգության և պաշտպանության ոլորտներում խորհրդակցությունների մեկնարկը, համապատասխան հուշագիր է ստորագրվել։ Ըստ Միրզոյանի՝ «դա վճռորոշ քայլ է համագործակցության շրջանակը համապատասխանեցնելու ժամանակակից մարտահրավերներին ու գործադրելու դրանց հաղթահարման լրացուցիչ ջանքերը»։

«Սա է հավակնոտ փաստաթուղթը, որն առավել խորացնելու է ՀՀ-ԵՄ երկկողմ օրակարգը, միաժամանակ, խթանելով Հայաստանի և Եվրամիության միջև համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագրի արդյունավետ կիրարկումը»,- նշել է Միրզոյանը։

Մինչդեռ փորձագետները նշում են, որ այս համագործակցությունը կրում է ընդամենը դեկլարատիվ բնույթ և որևէ կերպ ի վիճակի չէ ապահովելու Հայաստանի անվտանգությունը։ Առավել ևս, այս պայմաններում, երբ Հայաստանը փորձում է հեռանալ Հավաքական անվտանգության պայմանագրի կազմակերպությունից և ամբողջությամբ տրվել Եվրամիությանը, Եվրամիության հետ հարաբերությունները Հայաստանը փորձում է օգտագործել որպես Ադրբեջանի վրա ազդելու լծակ, բայց դա այս պահի դրությամբ, մեղմ ասած, անհեթեթ և վտանգավոր զարգացում է, ուստի այն, ինչ փորձում է անել Հայաստանի իշխանությունն այս ուղղությամբ, նոր վտանգներ մեր երկրի գլխին բերելն է, որևէ այլ տարբերակ քննարկելու չկա։
