Իրանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Աբբաս Արաղչին, որը ժամանել էր Մոսկվա, երկուշաբթի օրը ՌԴ նախագահ Պուտինի հետ կայացած հանդիպման ժամանակ նրանից խնդրել է նոր հակաօդային պաշտպանության համակարգեր և օգնություն միջուկային էներգիայի սարքավորումների վերականգնման գործում: Այս մասին The Wall Street Journal-ին հայտնել է բանակցություններին ծանոթ աղբյուրը:

Արաղչին նախկինում Ստամբուլում կայացած մամուլի ասուլիսում հայտարարել էր, որ պլանավորում է «լուրջ հանդիպում» Ռուսաստանի առաջնորդի հետ: Նա հիշեցրել է, որ Ռուսաստանը և Իրանը ռազմավարական գործընկերության համաձայնագիր ունեն՝ հավելելով, որ երկրները համակարգում են իրենց գործողությունները:
