«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
ria.ru–ն «Պատմաբանը կապ է տեսնում Ուկրաինայում ու Հայաստանում եկեղեցիների հալածանքների միջև» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ եկեղեցիների հալածանքները, որոնք սկսվել էին Ուկրաինայում և դրսևորվել Մոլդովայում, այսօր շարունակվում են Հայաստանում գործարար Սամվել Կարապետյանի ձերբակալությամբ։ Հորդանանցի ուղղափառ պատմաբան և գրող Յակուբ Ասաիդն է նման կարծիք հայտնել ria. ru–ի հետ զրույցում։ «Գործարար և բարերար Սամվել Կարապետյանի գործը պարզապես ձերբակալություն չէ, այլ այնպիսի վտանգավոր փուլի նշան, որը սկսվել էր Ուկրաինայում, ապա հասել Մոլդովա և ուղղված եղել եկեղեցիների դեմ։ Այսօր Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցողը դուրս է գալիս քաղաքական կամ իրավական վեճերից և վերածվում է ժողովրդի, նրա Եկեղեցու և պատմության հետ բախման», - ասել է նա:
Պատմաբանի խոսքով, Կարապետյանը ձերբակալվել է ոչ թե իր հարստության կամ ազդեցության պատճառով, այլ այն պատճառով, որ նա հիմնադրել է բարեգործական հիմնադրամ, որը ավելի քան 15 տարի աջակցել է Եկեղեցուն, կրթությանը, առողջապահությանը, որբերին, ինչպես նաև հոգևոր և մշակութային նախագծերին ինչպես Հայաստանի ներսում, այնպես էլ արտերկրում։ «Կարապետյանի ձերբակալությունը նրա եկեղեցամետ դիրքորոշման և Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու հետ համերաշխության հետևանք է՝ աշխարհիկ իշխանությունների կողմից սանձազերծված արշավի ֆոնին, որոնք հրապարակայնորեն եկեղեցիները անվանում են «չուլաններ» և վիրավորում հայ ժողովրդի հոգևոր խորհրդանիշները», - հավելել է Ասաիդը։
Հորդանանցի պատմաբանը նշել է, որ Եկեղեցու վրա հարձակումը համարժեք է ազգային ինքնության վրա հարձակմանը։ Նրա խոսքով, մարդկանց հոգևոր հիմքի հետ հակամարտությունը կարող է առաջացնել բևեռացում հասարակության մեջ և լուրջ բախում նրանց միջև, ովքեր ենթարկվում են իշխանություններին, և նրանց միջև, ովքեր հետևում են իրենց խղճին և Եկեղեցուն՝ ոգեշնչված Սուրբ Հոգով, այլ ոչ թե քաղաքական հրահանգներով կամ ընտրական ճնշումներով։ «Այս մոտեցման շարունակությունը կարող է հանգեցնել Եկեղեցու ներսում պառակտման, ինչպես տեղի ունեցավ Ուկրաինայում և Մոլդովայում, ինչը սպառնում է հայ ժողովրդի միասնությանը... Հետևաբար, Կարապետյանը, որին ես համարում եմ մեծ բարերար, պետք է ազատ արձակվի», - ընդգծել է Ասաիդը։ Հիշեցնենք, որ «Տաշիր Գրուպ» ընկերության սեփականատեր Սամվել Կարապետյանը ձերբակալվել է Հայաստանում այն բանից հետո, երբ հայտարարել է իշխանությունների հարձակումների ֆոնին Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցուն աջակցելու մասին:
